Honda CD 110 Dream Discontinued

Honda has discontinued the CD 110 Dream, marking the end of an era for their most affordable commuter motorcycle. Launched back in 2014, it was introduced as the most affordable option in the lineup, priced at Rs 41,100 (ex-showroom). With this price bracket, Honda aimed at the budget segment buyers, who seek maximum mileage and low maintenance. But with the launch of the Honda Shine back in 2023, this motorcycle started to lose its existence. The sales chart continues to fall, due to consumers shifting to a better deal with the Honda Shine. Honda sold only one unit of the CD 110 in February 2025.

The last recorded price of the Honda CD 110 Dream stood at Rs 76,401 (ex-showroom), making it approximately Rs 8,000 costlier than the Shine 100. Given their similar design and mechanicals, the higher price tag made the CD 110 Dream a less sensible choice for budget-conscious buyers.

Mechanicals

At the heart, this motorcycle was powered by a reliable 109.51cc, air-cooled engine, which belts out 8.79 PS of power and 9.30 Nm of torque. While Honda claimed a mileage of 74 kmpl and a top speed of 91km/h. However, it was updated a few years back with a BS6-compliant engine. Not just that, feature-wise, it has got combined braking and a silent start/stop system.

Verdict

With the discontinuation of the Honda CD 110 Dream, Honda bids farewell to one of its longest-running and most affordable commuter motorcycles. While once a go-to choice for budget-conscious riders, the rising price and overlapping features with the Shine 100 make it an impractical pick nowadays. Its silent exit marks a strategic move by Honda to streamline its commuter lineup, focusing on more relevant and competitive offerings.
