Honda Elevate Facelift Launch Tomorrow, Here Are Top 5 Changes Expected

The Honda Elevate facelift is all set to launch tomorrow, October 6, and Honda Cars India has released several teasers giving us a sneak peek at the upcoming SUV. The changes are expected to be cosmetic, rather than mechanical, as whatever the 2026 Honda City received is likely to be reflected here as well, 91Wheels believes.

This is an important update for Honda Elevate fans as well as the brand, as this will be the first major facelift since the SUV was launched in 2023. Here are the top 5 changes to expect.

Honda Elevate Facelift

Redesigned Front Facia

Honda Elevate

The first teaser showcased the photo you just watched above, and it tells most of the story. The Elevate facelift gets a redesigned face with an LED DRL bar that has three sets of divisions, matching the LED headlights. This gives the impression that the DRL bar and the headlights are connected, but it's just design magic. Other changes are a new bold grille with a camera in the middle for the 360-parking assist, and we can also expect a revised bumper with a silver skid plate and larger air vents. Now, the photos make clear that the bonnet design won't change at all, nor will the LED headlights. Overall, the butch personality of this SUV continues.

New Alloy Wheels & Rear Disc Brake

Honda Elevate

This one is the easiest to guess as no facelift launch is complete without new set of alloy wheels, and as per the teaser, it is revealed that the Honda Elevate will get new 17-inch diamond cut alloys, and the rear section of wheels will house disc brakes. Honda Elevate braking performance has always been its strong point, even with front disc-brakes, but as per customers demand, and looking at its rivals offerings, this addition will come to this SUV.

Connected Tail-Lights

Honda Cars India on their social media platforms has posted a rear photo of the upcoming Elevate facelift, and it's clear that the taillights will be connected via a light bar. Even the current model comes with a light bar, but lights don't match. This is the most common design trait of modern times visible on several cars like Skoda Kushaq, VW Taigun, Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Victoris and so on.

Front Ventilated Seats

Finally, the front seats will get the ventilation function in Elevate, and we know this because the Honda City already has it. This feature has become quite important for car buyers these days, as almost every car above Rs 10 lakh offers it, and the Elevate was one of the few that was missing it. Now, Honda dealers will have one more point to talk about whenever they take people through the car.

Electronic Parking Brake With Auto Hold

Honda Elevate

91Wheels believes, with the facelift, the Elevate will get an electronic parking brake with an auto-hold function, as even the Honda City top variant with hybrid also gets it. The electronic parking brake is becoming the new common feature, as in cars like the Tata Sierra, it is the only way to engage the parking brake, so customers in the mid-size SUV segment expect it in every car. The benefit will be a clutter-free area, more space for all the belongings, and an even more spacious cabin. In lower and mid-variants, there will be only a manual parking brake, but we expect the top variant to come with it.

End Note

Over the years, the Honda Elevate has earned a reputation for being a reliable and straightforward SUV that offers almost everything you need in day-to-day life. It gets the legendary 1.5-litre i-VTEC engine, 220 mm of ground clearance, upright looks, and strong braking performance.

However, its rivals are way ahead when it comes to the latest and most sought-after features. At the same time, the Honda brand is losing some of its aspirational value, so even with a great overall package which includes 6-airbags as standard, level-2 ADAS, blind spot camera, wireless charging pad, single pane sunroof, and semi-digital instrument cluster, buyers aren't always willing to invest in it.

With the facelift, the company wants to change that by adding the latest features and giving the SUV a design that appeals to the masses, not just Honda fans. Let's see what the brand has to offer, as 91Wheels will be at the launch event tomorrow.
