Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) Limited is actively launching its international models in the Indian market. Indian enthusiasts have been eagerly anticipating the arrival of Honda's larger bikes and scooters. Finally, Honda has introduced its adventure scooter, the X-ADV 750, in India for Rs 11.90 lakh (ex-showroom). This marks Honda's first adventure scooter (ADV scooter) to be offered in the country. Honda X-ADV - Design & Features
The newly launched Honda X-ADV 750 features a crossover design that combines the look of an adventure tourer with the practicality of a maxi-scooter. At the front, it has a sharp fascia, a long windscreen, and distinctive dual LED headlamps with daytime running lights (DRLs). The side profile includes a two-step seat that provides easier ground reach and enhanced padding for long-distance comfort. Additionally, it offers practical features, such as a 22-liter under-seat storage compartment. The scooter will be available in two color options: Pearl Glare White and Graphite Black.
The scooter is equipped with several impressive features, including a USB Type-C charging port and a 5-inch full-color TFT display. It also offers connectivity through the Honda RoadSync app, which allows riders to receive call and SMS alerts, access turn-by-turn navigation, and control music and voice commands, among other functionalities.
Additionally, the scooter provides various riding aids, including ride-by-wire technology and four riding modes: Standard, Sport, Rain, and Gravel. There is also a customizable User mode. The X-ADV features Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) for optimal traction in different road conditions, and it includes cruise control as well.
Honda X-ADV - Hardware
The X-ADV features hardware that includes a 41 mm upside-down (USD) fork, a rear spring shock with preload adjustment, and spoke wheels measuring 17 inches at the front and 15 inches at the rear. For braking, it is equipped with dual radial-mounted 296 mm discs at the front and a single 240 mm disc at the rear. Additionally, it comes with dual-channel ABS for enhanced safety.
Honda X-ADV Engine
The new Honda X-ADV is powered by a 745cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine. This engine produces 58 bhp of power and 69 Nm of peak torque. To offer a smooth performance, this engine comes mated to a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission to offer seamless gearshifts.
Verdict
Indian motorcycle and scooter enthusiasts have long been waiting for Honda to bring its big scooters to India. Now, the wait is over, Honda has finally launched its first large-displacement ADV scooter in the country. With its impressive features and capable engine, its bound to appeal to riders looking for a comfortable, long-distance cruiser. That said, the pricing is on the higher side. But considering the performance and comfort it offers, some buyers might still find it worth the premium.
