1. Battery check Batteries tend to lose their charge if your car is kept idle for a long time. So, if you to face a condition that you feel the battery is losing charge, it is advised to crank the engine on and keep it running idle for some 5-10 minutes. Also, along with the terminals of the battery, check whether all the electrical connections attached to it are in a proper way or not. Doing so will charge up the battery, and if your battery has lost charge completely, charge it first at a service station, and then re-install it in your car and again follow the step mentioned above.

2. Fluid check The engine oil tends to settle down and oil seals might dry up in case you have not used your vehicle in the lockdown period. This might dry up the engine and mechanical parts related to it. So, to bring back the normal flow and condition of the engine oil in its original way, it is advised to run the engine for a few minutes before starting off the drive.

3. Tyre check Tyres of your car too might lose out the recommended pressure if not used for a long time during the lockdown, and might even cause flat spots if the car is kept in one particular place for a very long time. So, ensure that the tires of your car have the recommended pressure before you start using your car again.

4. Fuel tank check If you parked your car with a little amount of fuel in the fuel tank of your car before the lockdown, there is a chance of sediments settling down in the fuel tank. So, when you start using your car again after the lockdown, try to fill up the fuel tank to its fullest to ensure the continuous and clean flow of fuel in the engine.

5. Proper wash check It is a no-brainer that your car might have accumulated a sufficient amount of dust if not given proper care for a long time during the lockdown. So, before using your car, give a proper wash on the outside and intensively clean the interior cabin.
