Battery: The key to understanding battery energy is by knowing the size of the battery in Watt-hours. However, it is normal to hear terms like Volts (V), Amp Hours (Ah), Watt Hours (Wh), but all you need to know is the Wh as Watt-Hours tells you the total size and output of the battery. The formula to calculate Wh is Volts x Amp Hours = Watt Hours.

Motor: There are two crucial components that determine the speed and torque of an e-bicycle- a Hub Motor and a Mid Drive Motor.

A Hub motor is mounted on the rear wheel. It assists the bicycle to perform well on a flat surfaces. On the other hand, a Mid Drive Motor is located in the Crank between the pedals. It assists the bicycle to climb steep inclines with ease by providing sufficient power.
