Added barely weeks after the model's launch, the HX5+ sits neatly between the HX5 and HX6 trims, aiming to strike a stronger balance between features and affordability. Positioning: Where the Hyundai Venue HX5+ Fits in the Venue Line-Up
The Hyundai Venue HX5+ costs around Rs 85,000 more than the HX5, while undercutting the HX6 by approximately Rs 33,000. By doing so, Hyundai has created a more compelling middle-ground option for customers who felt the HX5 was slightly under-equipped, but didn't want to stretch their budget for the HX6. Alongside this update, Hyundai has also enhanced the HX4 variant, which now gets driver seat height adjustment as standard. Visually, the Venue HX5+ borrows select styling elements from the more expensive HX6 variant to create a more premium road presence. It now features quad-beam LED headlamps and roof rails, instantly making it look more upscale than the HX5.
Practical additions such as a rear wiper and washer have also been included. That said, some elements remain unchanged. The HX5+ continues with 15-inch steel wheels with covers, body-coloured ORVMs and door handles, along with faux skid plates at both ends. It also skips features like blacked-out ORVMs and the rear roof spoiler, which remain exclusive to the HX6. Inside the cabin, the Venue HX5+ focuses on everyday usability and comfort. Hyundai has added a rear sunshade, making it a more appealing choice for families and chauffeur-driven users.
A wireless charging pad is now part of the package, helping reduce cable clutter, while the front armrest with integrated storage enhances long-drive comfort. Another welcome upgrade is the one-touch auto up/down function for the driver-side power window, a small but meaningful addition that improves daily convenience over the HX5.
Powertrain: Proven Petrol, Manual Only
Mechanically, the HX5+ remains unchanged. It is powered by Hyundai's familiar 1.2-litre Kappa petrol engine, producing 83 hp and around 115 Nm of torque, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. This engine is well known for its refinement and reliability, and delivers an ARAI-rated fuel efficiency of 18.05 kmpl. There are no automatic or turbo-petrol options available with this variant.
