A few days ago, we reported about Hero MotoCorp's plans for the next few months, and one of them is coming to life today. The Hero Glamour X has become the first motorcycle in its segment to offer cruise control, with prices ranging between Rs 89,999 to Rs 99,999 (ex-showroom).

Hero Glamour X Details
The Hero Glamour X comes with a rather stylish design for something in the 125cc commuter segment. The slim and sleek proportions continue to be around, and the headlamp section in particular stands out, with the almost naked motorcycle-like treatment for the head unit, while the DRL pattern continues with the H-shaped treatment. The motorcycle will get two visor options, both short and tall units.
The Glamour X comes with a sculpted fuel tank and sharply-designed tank extensions, which again makes the motorcycle stand out given it belongs to the commuter segment. The tank also makes use of decals, and it continues to get a long seat as well. Hero further says that the pillion seat of the Glamour X is larger by 10 per cent. Interestingly, you will also be able to spot a kick-starter as well; one of the few motorcycles in its segment to offer one.
In terms of equipment, here is where things really matter. The Glamour X is the first 125cc motorcycle in India to be offered with cruise control, and it comes with a TFT instrument cluster which appears to be borrowed from the Karizma XMR 210. It gets brightness adjustability with an ambient sensor, and there are also gets three ride modes on offer; eco, road, and power. Additionally, it also gets a gear position indicator, turn-by-turn navigation, bluetooth connectivity, calls/SMS alerts, a USB-C port, and a panic braking alert.
The powertrain is a 125cc, air-cooled, single-cyllinder unit which appears to be the same unit from the Xtreme 125R, but with a slight re-tune. It continues to produce 11.4bhp at 8250rpm, but the 10.5Nm of torque now comes in marginally earlier at 6000rpm. This powertrain is paired to a 5-speed gearbox.
The Glamour X is available in two different variants, the drum variant priced at Rs 89,999 while the disc variant can be had from Rs 99,999 onwards (all prices ex-showroom). The Glamour X will also be offered with five different paint options; Black Pearl Red, Black Teal Blue, Metallic Nexus Blue, Candy Blazing Red, and Matt Metallic Silver.

Verdict
The Glamour X is the first of the two 125cc motorcycles planned by Hero for this year, and we expect the bikemaker to follow with the second one very soon, which is likely to be an updated Xtreme 125R. Furthermore, there are premium aspirations on the cards as well.
