Hi, I'm Tejen. I was born and brought up in a small town of Haryana. However, from the day of my birth and until now, I've always lived around cars and motorcycles. More than passion, the automotive world is my only lifestyle. It's the connection to the vehicle that delivers me peace. However, when it comes to a choice; my instinct leads me towards motorcycles.

A Doppelganger of TVS iQube Electric Scooter?

The EV era is here. Most of the electric two-wheelers are mostly scooters in India. No doubt about the capabilities of these nimble scooters. Perhaps, the popularity of brands like TVS iQube electric scooters are all-time high. But, recently a mysterious e-scooter has been spotted on a test. Moreover, the interesting part is that it looks similar to the iQube scooter itself. However, the Karnataka TC plates on it don't justify enough that it's a new TVS iQube. As most of the TVS test products are registered in Tamil Nadu (Chennai), KA registration is questionable.

Speaking of the test vehicle itself, it gets telescopic forks at the front, LED lights, and a raised handlebar. However, one can't exactly tell whether it's a petrol scooter or an electric one due to the lack of rear photos or side profile photos. But, if it is the iQube itself, we think the utmost testing would be of a new long-range battery. Because most of the design of the test scooter appears to be the same as the current model.

Verdict

The new mysterious scooter can be iQube-similar looking scooter by a new start up. Bengaluru is hub of EV start ups and it is no big deal that someone is testing the tech and powertrain with the iQube's body work. However, we're still not sure what it exactly is.
