Engine and Performance

A 2.5-L 4-cylinder diesel engine can be seen under the hood of both, the Isuzu D-Max as well as the Isuzu S-Cab. This engine churns out 78 hp while peak torque figures from this engine stand at 176 Nm. A 5-speed manual gearbox comes mated to this oil burner which also features a variable geometry turbocharger for better performance. The maximum torque output comes in at an early 1500 rpm mark which makes it a great vehicle to tow heavyweight and for day to day usage. In terms of overall performance, both these vehicles are almost similar to each other.

Dimensions

The Isuzu D-Max measures 5375 mm in length which makes it almost 200 mm longer than the S-Cab. The D-Max also happens to be considerably wider than the standard S-Cab and measures 1860 mm in width. However, the Hi-Ride variant of the S-Cab also measures 1860 in width. The D-Max also gets higher measurement for the height as it stands 1800 mm tall for the standard variant while the Super Strong happens to be 1830 mm in height.
