KIA EV 3 Breaks Cover With A Range Of Up To 600 Km - Details!

KIA has officially unveiled the KIA EV 3 electric SUV for the global market. The KIA EV 3 will be the entry-level EV in the KIA EV lineup and the EV will be available in two different variants. KIA EV 3 - Exterior & Interior

The EV 3 will be the smallest KIA EV in the market, built on the E-GMP platform it measures 4,300 mm in length, 1,850 mm in width, and 1,560 mm in height. It boasts a wheelbase of 2,680 mm. The SUV will be available in 9 different colour options among which Aventurine Green and Terracotta will be exclusively available for the EV 3 only.

Design-wise it takes inspiration from its bigger sibling the KIA EV 9 and boasts vertically stacked L-shaped LED DRLs, cubical-shaped LED headlamps, a closed front grille, air inlets in the lower bumper, and tiger-nose-inspired front design. The side profile gets squared-off wheel arches, dual-tone black and white coloured alloy wheels, flush door handles, blacked-out pillars, and the rear door handles mounted on the C-pillar. The rear also gets L-shaped LED tail lamps, dynamic roof lines, a shark fin antenna, and an integrated roof spoiler. The KIA EV 3 signifies the brand's "Opposites United" design language.

Moving to the interior, the 5-seater SUV gets a 3-spoke steering wheel along with a minimalistic approach for the dashboard. It gets twin 12.3-inch displays one for the infotainment and one for the instrument cluster, a center console with a sliding table, and a storage area. Other features of the EV include a 360-degree camera, wireless charging, auto-dimming IRVM, and a digital screen for climate control among other features. It also boasts a 25-liter frunk and a 460-liter of boot space. It will also get level 2 ADAS, HUD, V2L, and other features.

For the interior colour options, customers can choose different theme options inspired by Air, Earth, and Water elements. Options include Subtle Grey, Warm Grey, and Blue, while Onyx Black is available exclusively on GT-line trim.

KIA EV 3 Powertrain & Variants

The KIA EV 3 will be available in two variants a standard with a 58.3 kWh battery pack and a long-range variant with an 81.4 kWh battery pack. Both the variants of the EV get a 150kW electric motor which produces a torque of 283 Nm. The EV can accelerate from 0-100km/h in 7.5 seconds. The EV3s maximum speed is 170km/h. The exact range of the standard variant is not revealed yet, but the long-range variant will offer a WLTP range of up to 600 km.
