Kia Sonet GTX+ Diesel AT and Turbo DCT Prices - What To Expect?

Kia Sonet was one of the most exciting launches of 2020 and we saw the launch at 18th September. Kia Motors India played a smart move and only revealed the pricing of Manual trims and mid-spec AT trims. The prices of the Kia Sonet GTX+ AT and DCT variants are yet to be announced and we tell you the expected prices of the same trims. The prices of the Kia Sonet starts from Rs 6.71 lakh and goes to Rs 11.99 lakh ex-showroom. Kia is expected to announce the price of Sonet GTX+ AT and DCT trims in the coming weeks.

Kia Sonet GTX+ AT Price

The Kia Sonet has been attractively priced in its base variants but the same can't be said for the top trims. The fun fact is that the Kia Sonet is the cheapest petrol car in its segment and also the most pricey petrol car in its segment. The top-spec GTX+ MT is even more expensive than Ford EcoSport's 1.5 AT. Now, it's evident why Kia didn't reveal the pricing of top-spec AT trims on the launch day.

If we talk about the pricing, the Sonet GTX+ diesel AT is expected to be priced at Rs 12.89 lakh ex-showroom. The Sonet GTX+ Petrol DCT is expected to carry a price tag of Rs 12.99 lakh ex-showroom. Kia may alter the price a little but that won't make a big difference. Both the diesel and petrol automatic are available with the HTK+ trims and they carry a similar price tag.

With the aforementioned expected prices, the Kia Sonet GTX+ AT and DCT won't be the obvious choice in this segment and we do have good options at this price. For someone who wants the same petrol DCT combination, Hyundai has the Venue with similar basic features. Kia has actually offered a lot with the Sonet and that resulted in the evident steep price.

Kia Sonet GTX+ AT Price

We have the biggest 10.25-inch touchscreen, sound mood lighting, drive and traction modes and a lot more. Some features are missing on the even higher segment of cars. If you are looking for price to size ratio, the Sonet isn't the car for you. But if you want the latest features and tech at this price, Sonet is the one for you.
