KTM RC 200 BS6 To Get A New Colour Option Soon; Spied At Dealership

KTM RC 200 is a very popular fully-faired motorcycle in the country. The RC 200 is the most well-balanced supersport motorcycle in the company's India line-up. The KTM RC 200 was first launched in the year 2014 and recently, it received the BS6 treatment. The BS6-compliant RC 200 was launched earlier this year. Now, the company is planning to launch a new colour variant for the motorcycle. The New Colour Variant of the KTM RC 200 BS6 has been spied at a dealership yard and here are some more details about it.

At present, the RC 200 BS6 is available in a single colour option. It features an all-black theme with some subtle orange inserts. The motorcycle looks very sporty. However, not all KTM fanboys like the black colour treatment on an RC as KTM is known for its signature orange colour. So, to make the KTM fanboys happy and to boost the sales of the motorcycle, KTM will soon launch the RC 200 BS6 with a new orange colour shade. The new colour variant will get an orange-coloured fuel tank & trellis frame while the other body panels of the RC will get triple-tone treatment of white, black and grey.

The new RC 200 won't get any other mechanical update or feature add-ons. It will be powered by the same BS6-compliant 199.5cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected, liquid-cooled engine. This motor churns out 25 PS of max. power at 10000 RPM and 19.5 Nm of peak torque at 8000 RPM. The RC 200 is the most powerful motorcycle in its segment and it comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. The motorcycle gets 43 mm WP APEX upside-down (USD) forks at the front and a mono-shock absorber at the rear. The braking duties are performed by disc brakes at either end and it gets a single-channel ABS too.

The KTM RC 200 is a very lightweight supersport motorcycle which boasts of agile handling. It weighs just 137.5 kilograms (dry weight) and has a fuel tank capacity of 9.5-litres. Currently, the KTM RC 200 BS6 is priced at Rs. 2.0 lakhs, Ex-showroom Delhi. We believe the new colour variant will also be priced similarly or it might get a minor price hike.
