The Lexus ES 300h is a truly unique product in the premium sedan segment, and the Japanese car maker has launched a new variant, to keep it fresh and relevant. Called the Luxury Plus Edition, prices begin from Rs 69.70 lakh (ex-showroom), costing Rs 6.6 lakh more than the standard car.

Lexus ES 300h Luxury Plus; What's New?
Starting with the outside, while the car retains its core design, the ES 300h Luxury Plus differentiates itself from the standard car with a few things, such as a silver-finished grille, a chrome garnish for the tail lamps, an illuminated scuff plate, puddle lamps, and a rear seat pillow. Everything else remains identical to the standard car.

Lexus ES 300h Luxury Plus Powertrain
The ES 300h Luxury Plus continues with the same 2.5-litre self-charging hybrid setup, churning out 214.5bhp and 201Nm of torque, while paired to a CVT gearbox. You also get a dedicated EV mode as well.

Lexus ES 300h Luxury Plus Features
The ES 300h Luxury Plus also packs in features such as a 17-speaker Mark Levinson sound system, a 12.3-inch infotainment touch screen, cornering lights, a moonroof, active noise cancellation, wireless smartphone charging and connectivity, Optitron dials, a head-up display, cruise control, and even a CD player in this age!
Verdict
If you are in the premium sedan segment and you want something that stands out from the German sedans, the ES 300h nails that role. As with most Lexus cars, there is a certain exclusivity that comes with the ES 300h as well, and the fact that it is the only strong hybrid car in its segment makes it even better for the environmentally-conscious.
