Mahindra Vision T
Just like several other teasers showcased, nothing is crystal clear here, and we only catch glimpses of what we believe is the headlight setup of the Vision T. Presented with a very trendy sound and a closer look, this appears to be in sync with the Thar EV concept showcased in 2023 in Cape Town. But once again, Mahindra has revealed very little and is keeping things under wraps until August 15th. The name of the event is FREEDOM_NU.

To add to that, this event teaser has been circulating since June 26th, and the company is expected to lay out its plans for 2027 to 2030. This aligns with the statement made by Mahindra officials a few months ago about plans to launch 7 new ICE vehicles and 5 EVs in the coming years. However, the biggest highlight of the event will be the new monocoque platform, which will serve as the foundation for most of these cars.

Up until now, we have seen several test mules of both these SUVs - where the XUV700 is getting a facelift, but the Bolero is going to be completely changed, with a new body and new engines - yet retaining the same rugged personality. Moreover, Mahindra has set up a new plant in Chakan, located in the Pune district, which will become the hub for this upcoming platform.

Verdict
15th August is a favorite day for every Indian, and for the automotive industry, it gets even better because Mahindra always has something special lined up, especially post-2020 (Covid). This time, it looks like well be flooded with EV news, and the Thar Electric will finally launch. Let's hope for even more surprises. Until then, stay tuned!
