Mahindra recently announced a significant discount of Rs 2.2 lakh on the Mahindra XUV700 to celebrate its 3rd anniversary. This discount was applicable to the top-of-the-line AX7 and AX7 L variants of the SUV. With this discount, the XUV700 became significantly more affordable than its rival, the Tata Safari. Mahindra XUV700 Powertrain Options

The Mahindra XUV700 offers a range of powerful engine options in both petrol and diesel. The turbo-petrol option is a 2.0-liter engine that produces 200 horsepower and 380 Nm of torque. For diesel enthusiasts, Mahindra provides a 2.2-liter engine available in two configurations: a base model with 155 horsepower and 360 Nm of torque, and a more powerful version producing 185 horsepower and 420 Nm (450 Nm with automatic transmission) for higher trims. Both engine variants can be paired with either a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission.

Interstingly, the mileage figures of the XUV700 have been revealed almost 3 years after its launch and as per the ARAI-certified data, the 2.0L Turbo Petrol engine delivers 13.0 kmpl with the manual transmission and 12.2 kmpl with the automatic. Meanwhile, the 2.2L Diesel engine offers excellent mileage, achieving 16.4 kmpl with the manual gearbox and 15.5 kmpl with the automatic.
