Maruti Ciaz Rival Skoda Rapid Petrol BS6 Colour Options And Variants Out

With its launch post lockdown, Czech manufacturer, Skoda has revealed all the colour options and variants of the upcoming Skoda Rapid Petrol BS6. The bookings for the same started in March 2020 and the deliveries were expected this month but got delayed due to the COVID-19!

Sharing more details on the colour options and variants of the 2020 Skoda Rapid BS6 petrol model then it'll come in six colours and five variants. All the six colours are variant specifics and it will come in Active, Ambition, Style, Onyx and Monte Carlo.

Under the hood, the 2020 Rapid will come in an all-new 1.0L TSI petrol engine. This unit will make 115 PS of power with a peak torque of 200 Nm. The engine gets mated to a 6-speed manual and an automatic will be launched later. It replaces the older 1.6L MPI unit which only made 100 PS.

Coming to more details, with the new Rapid we can also expect a large touchscreen unit with connectivity features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Once launched, it'll rival with Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Hyundai Verna, Volkswagen Vento, Toyota Yaris and new-gen Honda City.

In other news, Skoda is also bringing in new Kodiaq with a sole 2.0L petrol motor along with the new Karoq. The latter rivals with Jeep Compass, Volkswagen T-Roc and Hyundai Tucson. Also, the new Octavia RS245 has been sold out and the deliveries for the same will start post lockdown.
