1. 5 Star BNCAP Rating: Safety In The Bag!

Safety has been given top billing with the Victoris. The SUV has already scored a 5-star Bharat NCAP rating, making it one of the safest cars Maruti has ever produced. Standard equipment includes six airbags, ABS with EBD, traction control, hill-hold assist, and ISOFIX mounts, while higher trims add a 360-degree camera and tyre pressure monitoring system. This focus on safety ensures Victoris meets the expectations of today's SUV buyers as well as brand's renewed push for safer vehicles.

2. ADAS Level-2: A First For Any Maruti!

For the first time on a Maruti model, the Maruti Victoris introduces ADAS Level 2, bringing advanced driver assistance tech to a wider audience. Features include adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, autonomous emergency braking, traffic sign recognition, blindspot monitoring, and high-beam assist. These semi-autonomous systems enhance safety on highways and provide convenience in day-to-day driving.

3. Features That 'Got It All': Ventilated Seats, Gesture Controlled Tailgate, Ventilated Seats, & Lots More

Maruti hasnt held back a bit when it comes to features this time, making it one of the most feature rich Maruti cars ever. The Victoris' cabin gets a 10.1-inch SmartPlay Pro X infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, a 10.25-inch fully-digital driver display, 8-speaker Infinity sound system with Dolby Atmos, panoramic sunroof, 64-colour mood ambient lighting, ventilated front seats, 8-way powered driver seat, wireless charging, HUD, and even a smart powered tailgate. With over 60 connected car features, OTA updates, and Alexa voice integration, it's easily the most tech-laden SUV to roll out of Arena dealerships.

4. Petrol, CNG, Strong Hybrid, And An AWD

The Maruti Victoris will share its engines with the Grand Vitara and Toyota Hyryder, giving buyers a wide mix of options. It comes with a 1.5-litre mild-hybrid petrol engine producing 103 PS and 137 Nm, paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox, with Suzuki's AllGrip AWD available on higher trims. For those looking for maximum efficiency, there's a 1.5-litre strong-hybrid setup delivering 116 PS combined output, mated to an e-CVT transmission, promising fuel efficiency figures of around 28 km/l. Maruti has also added a CNG variant to the lineup, which makes 88 PS and is offered with a 5-speed manual gearbox, while the underbody CNG tank frees up valuable boot space. This versatile mix of petrol, hybrid, CNG, and AWD makes the Victoris one of the most flexible SUVs in its class.

5. No Spare Tyre But Gets This

Advanced Level 2 ADAS

One notable omission in the Victoris is the absence of a conventional spare wheel. Instead, Maruti offers a tyre repair kit, a growing trend among global SUVs. While this saves space and weight, it might raise eyebrows among buyers used to a full-size spare in Indian road conditions. However, repairing a puncture of the tubeless tyres is an easy task and you can utilise the extra space for more luggage.

Verdict

The Maruti Victoris is a bold move that strengthens Maruti's footing in the compact SUV space. With its premium design, tech-rich interiors, multiple fuel options, and class-leading safety features, it strikes the right balance between aspiration and practicality. While rivals like Creta and Seltos continue to dominate, the Victoris' Arena-wide availability and Maruti's brand trust could make it a serious volume player. If priced right, which we would get to know after a while, it could become Maruti's strongest bet yet in the midsize SUV war, even possibly surpassing the Grand Vitara.
