First-Ever Made in India AMG: Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 4Matic Coupe Launched at Rs 76.70 Lakhs - All Details

India's largest luxury car manufacturer - Mercedes-Benz has just launched its first-ever Made in India performance-oriented AMG car. The new 2020 Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 4Matic Coupe has been just launched at a staggering price of Rs. 76.70 lakhs, Ex-showroom pan-India. The all-new AMG GLC 43 4Matic Coupe is the third GLC model in India after the regular GLC SUV and the GLC Coupe. Also, this new AMG marks Mercedes-Benz's tenth launch of this year in India. This is the first-ever made-in-India AMG car and it has been assembled at the company's production facility located in Pune (Maharashtra). Let's now have a closer look at this AMG beast.

First of all, starting with the heart of the matter, so the new Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 4Matic Coupe gets a BS6-compliant 3.0-litre V6 with direct injection and bi-turbo charging. This petrol motor churns out 390 PS of maximum power at 5500-6000 RPM and 520 Nm of peak torque at 2500-4500 RPM. The engine comes mated to AMG's Speedshift 9G-Tronic automatic transmission. Also, it gets a rear-biased AMG Performance 4Matic all-wheel-drive system that channels 69 per cent of the total power output to the rear wheels. The AMG GLC 43 4Matic Coupe can sprint from 0-100 kmph in just 4.9 seconds while the top speed is rated at 250 kmph.

The new Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 4Matic Coupe gets five different driving modes - Slippery, Comfort, Sport, Sport+ and Individual. These driving modes modify various key parameters of the SUV such as the response of the engine, transmission, suspension and steering. Also, these parameters are now linked to the AMG Dynamics agility control system. This new GLC 43 Coupe gets AMG Ride Control+ suspension. It is based on the Air Body Control air suspension with AMG-specific Adaptive Damping System. The new Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 Coupe is a very sporty SUV and it gets AMG's signature Panamericana grille, sporty bumpers and 20-inch alloy wheels. Also, as it is a coupe SUV, it gets a stylish sloping roofline that looks unique.

Being a Mercedes, the new AMG GLC 43 Coupe is very feature-loaded SUV and it comes loaded with a lot of technology. For starters, it gets a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.25-inch MBUX infotainment system with all sorts of connectivity features. There are also three AMG-specific display styles on offer - Classic, Sport and Supersport. It also gets a rich Burmester sound system, AMG Performance exhaust selectable control, flat-bottomed steering wheel and more. The safety features of this new AMG SUV include seven airbags, Mercedes-Benz's Pre-safe package, ESP, BAS, EBD, TPMS, 360-degree parking camera, Active Braking Assist, and many more.

Finally, talking about the price, the new 2020 Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 4Matic Coupe has been launched at Rs. 76.70 lakhs, Ex-showroom pan-India. This is the first-ever Made in India AMG model and Mercedes-Benz now locally manufactures eleven different models in India. The new AMG GLC 43 Coupe does not have any direct rivals in India.
