Adult Occupant Protection: Near-Perfect Score
The Seltos delivered an excellent performance in adult safety tests. The crash test results indicate good protection for most body regions, with only minor areas marked as adequate or marginal in the frontal test. Additionally, the SUV passed the side pole impact test, further strengthening its safety credentials.
Child Occupant Protection: Strong Performance

In terms of child safety, the Seltos scored 45/49. The SUV was tested using i-Size compliant child seats for both 18-month-old and 3-year-old dummies, delivering full marks in dynamic protection tests.
Safety Features: What Works in Its Favour

The tested variants (HTE(O) and GTX diesel automatic) come equipped with a strong safety suite, including 6 airbags as standard, electronic stability control, seat belt reminder for all occupants, pedestrian protection compliance, ISOFIX mounts (rear outboard seats). However, some features like knee airbags and side pelvis airbags are not offered, and ISOFIX is limited to rear outboard seats only.
Variants Covered Under Rating
The 5-star safety rating applies to a wide range of Seltos variants across petrol and diesel powertrains, including manual and automatic options. The assessment was conducted in February 2026, and safety features like ESC and curtain airbags are offered as standard across all variants.
