As it turns out, MG Motor India isn't done just yet. The car maker has announced yet another new initiative. Planning to focus on the premium car segment, MG has now launched its new premium sub-brand, MG Select, through which it will target the 'accessible luxury' segment.

These showrooms will be aesthetically different from the regular MG outlets, with their own identity and styling. MG's niche, more aspirational cars will be sold through these new showrooms.
For phase 1, the car maker plans to open up MG Select experience centres across 12 cities, such as Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Pune, and Surat. These experience centres will be operational from 2025 onwards and MG is currently accepting dealer invitations.
MG Motor India is also going to expand its lineup over the next two years, with four new cars coming through. Two of the new cars are due in 2025, and there is a very strong inclination towards the Cyberster being the first of them. MG has confirmed that the first new car will be launched in the first quarter of 2025. The car maker could also bring in the Maxus premium van series, or possibly even the MG GT sportback.
Verdict
With MG Select, MG aims to offer newer, more aspirational stuff to the Indian market, thus finally giving customers a chance of experiencing some of the best from MG that's been available globally for a long time.
