Suzuki Jimny is terrifically popular worldwide and the latest waiting period reported for the same is over 1.5 years. People are selling their used Jimnys at a premium over what they actually paid for it. Now you can gauge the popularity the 'Jimny' moniker carries worldwide. It is also popular for modifications as we have witnessed some astounding specced Jimnys till now, and we are here with another one. This modified Suzuki Jimny widebody straight out from Indonesia looks snazzy with bigger wheels and wide body kit.

This modified Suzuki Jimny has a good amount of changes on the exterior. First is the minimalist Matte Green colour shade which looks unique. As we told you earlier that this Jimny has a wide body kit which translates to beefier wheel arches and wider tyres. This Suzuki Jimny widebody here has got carbon-fibre finished extended wheel arches, carbon fibre hood, carbon fibre ORVMs and faux air ducts. The faux air ducts are placed at all four wheel arches which give it a sporty look. The rear gets carbon fibre cover for the boot-mounted wheel, aftermarket LED taillights with scrolling indicators and dual exhaust pipes. The car also gets a new grille which has a logo - arguably of the guy who did the modifications.

Moving to the alloy wheels which are 18-inch FW-280HR shod with Michelin Primacy 4 245/50/R18. The reason behind choosing the Michelin Primacy 4 is to get a cushy and supple ride even after the upsize as they are made up of soft compound rubber. We don't have deets about the interiors, as they are even modified or not. Talking about the standard Jimny, that gets all-black interiors with 7-inch touchscreen infotainment with Android Auto and Apple Car Play, Auto AC, hill descend control, steering mounted controls, etc.
The standard Jimny is powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine which churns out a meek 100 Hp and 130 Nm of torque paired with 5-speed manual and 4-speed AT box. Despite being so small, the Jimny gets a proper low range gearbox - 2H which drives the rear wheels only, 2H for normal offroading and 2L for climbing and offroading on rocks.

The Jimny doesn't come with lockable differentials but to compensate that, Suzuki has plonked in LSD traction control which engages brake on the wheel which is moving unnecessarily and helps to channel power to the wheel which has maximum traction. This feature is used by other manufacturers as well and it is commonly called as offroad traction control. We will also get a Jimny next year but unfortunately, that will be a 5-door incarnation of the Jimny and not the global 3-door one.
