Two All-New 2020 Mahindra Thar Modified With Monstrous 22-inch Alloy Wheels - Have A Look!

Original Article - November 25, 2020; The new generation Mahindra Thar is certainly one of the most popular SUVs of recent times. The all-new 2020 Mahindra Thar was launched in India just a few weeks ago and there is a lot of buzz around it. People are very impressed with the all-new Thar as it is truly a great machine. What's further icing on the cake is that recently it has bagged an impressive 4 Star Safety Rating in the Global NCAP Crash Test. We all know that Thar owners love to modify their favourite off-roader. Today, we have for you, not just one, but two all-new 2020 Mahindra Thar that have been modified with dope-looking 22-inch alloy wheels.

The first Thar, as you can see in the above image, is finished in Napoli Black shade and gets humongous 22-inch alloy wheels. The alloys get a ten-spoke pattern and have a shiny texture. These are 22-inch RPM alloy wheels and they really enhance the aesthetic appeal of this already handsome-looking SUV. Next, we have another Thar SUV that has been retrofitted with 22-inch alloy wheels. It is also finished in Napoli Black colour and is a convertible SUV. While the above Thar had ten-spoke alloys with a glossy finish, this one gets 22-inch machined-cut dual-tone Victor alloy wheels. Both the dual-tone one as well as the glossy alloys look really good and are enormous.

These modified 22-inch alloy wheels of the new 2020 Mahindra Thar give it a robust appearance but due to their low profile section, it seems that they won't be as good as the stock wheels provided with the SUV. The new Thar gets 16-inch tubeless all-terrain tyres with steel wheels for the AX Optional variant while the LX variant gets handsome alloy wheels with 18-inch all-terrain tubeless tyres. Talking about the powertrain options on offer, so the new 2020 Mahindra Thar gets BS6-compliant petrol as well as an oil-burner. Firstly, it gets a 2.0-litre mStallion T-GDI petrol engine that churns out 152 PS of power at 5000 RPM and 320 Nm peak torque between 1500-3000 RPM.

Then, it also has a BS6-compliant 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine that churns out 132 PS of power at 3750 RPM and 300 Nm of peak torque between 1600-2800 RPM. Both the mills of the new Thar come mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox as well as a 6-speed torque-converter automatic transmission and they get 4X4 system as standard. As already mentioned before, the all-new 2020 Mahindra Thar has recently bagged an impressive 4 Star Safety Rating in the Global NCAP Crash Test. So, talking about the safety features on offer, it gets dual front airbags, ABS and EBD with Brake Assist, reverse parking sensors, Electronic Stability Program (ESP) with Roll-over Mitigation, roll cage, etc. The LX variant of the Thar also gets a Brake Locking Differential.

Finally, talking about the price, so recently Mahindra has discontinued the base variants of the Thar. Now, the prices of the new 2020 Mahindra Thar starts at Rs. 11.90 lakhs and they go all the way up to Rs. 13.75 lakhs. All prices are applicable for Ex-showroom pan-India.
