New 2022 Range Rover Sport To Officially Reveal On May 10 - All Details!

Land Rover is now all set to officially reveal the new 2022 Range Rover Sport on May 10, 2022. The new 2022 Range Rover will be a brand new iteration of the SUV and will offer better capabilities, updated powertrain options, and more. The current Range Rover Sport is the brand's best selling model and takes on the rivals like the Aston Martin DBX, Lamborghini Urus, Porsche Cayenne and Maserati Levante. Here are all the details that you should know about the upcoming Range Rover Sport.

The Range Rover Sport will be one of the first SUVs from Jaguar Land Rover that falls in line with its latest electrification programme and will be positioned above the Range Rover Evoque and Land Rover Discovery Sport. The SUV will be based on the Land Rover's new MLA Flex architecture and will be a huge step up when compared to the outgoing car. This new platform offers 50 percent more torsional stiffness and reduces structure-borne noise by 24 percent. In addition to it, the new platform also promises to improve rolling refinement and boasts strong driving dynamics.

The brand will also use the new BMW-developed twin-turbocharged 4.4-L V8 engine that boasts more power and employs a highly potent plug-in hybrid drivetrain option. This new engine will be replacing the 572hp V8 engine that also powers the other cars like the Land Rover Defender, Range Rover, Jaguar F-Pace and Jaguar F-Type. This new 4.4-L V8 engine also powers other BMW M cars including the BMW M5 CS super-saloon.

Having said this, the new Rand Rover Sport will boast a stronger exterior design language and an updated cabin. The new MLA architecture also helps the SUV accommodate a variety of electrified powertrains including the new 48V milt-hybrid-equipped straight-six engines. Land Rover recently shared that it aims to have an all-electric portfolio by the end of this portfolio, starting with the launch of the standard Range Rover in 2024.
