The all-new Audi Q3, in its third generation, is all set to launch on October 16, 2026, in India. On top of that, the great news is that its local assembly has started at the Skoda Auto Volkswagen India Private Limited (SAVWIPL) plant in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, which will bring down its ex-showroom price. We expect the all-new Q3 to be launched somewhere between Rs 55 lakh and Rs 58 lakh (ex-showroom). Let us learn more about Q3 and this news.
New 2026 Audi Q3
The new Q3 is going to be a big deal for the German luxury car maker, as historically the Q3 has been the best-selling car in India. Well, the new one is a different car with a new MQB Evo platform, bigger dimensions, and new technology, as well as a brand-new design philosophy for the interior and exterior. That said, the 2.0L TSI will remain the same as before, putting out 206 PS and 320 Nm of torque, sending it to all four wheels via the legendary Audi's Quattro all-wheel-drive system. However, these figures are still in the expected stage, and the brand might surprise us at the launch event.
As per official figures, it does 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.1 seconds and claims a top speed of 229 kmph, giving it a tough competition to its direct rivals BMW X1 and Mercedes-Benz GLA.
Audi Q3 Interior
Step inside, and there are plenty of changes here as well. The new Q3 gets a 12.8-inch touchscreen infotainment display and an 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster, along with a new squircle-shaped steering wheel. Below the air-conditioning vents, there’s a row of physical buttons on the centre console, which gets a gloss-black finish.
The console houses a wireless charging pad, engine start-stop button, rotary media control knob, electronic parking brake switch and cup holders. Audi has also ditched the traditional gear selector, with its functions now moved to a stalk behind the steering wheel. The other stalk combines the light and wiper controls.

Audi India opened bookings for the new Q3 on September 1, 2026, for Rs 1 lakh, with the launch scheduled for October 16. There is already plenty of hype around the SUV; however, there are big challenges ahead. A few weeks ago, BMW India launched the X1 LWB at Rs 49.90 lakh (ex-showroom), with the SUV being locally manufactured in India. It offers more space at a lower price than the Q3, which puts some pressure on Audi’s new SUV.
The Q3’s biggest advantage, for now, is that it is newer. However, the price difference between the two will be two stories high. It will be interesting to see how Audis' marketing team positions and markets it.
