Nissan Launches Nissan Ambition 2030, Unveils Four Concept Models

Nissan Unveiled their ambitious plan for the next 10 years for which they have allocated 2 trillion yen. They plan to electrify 50% of their global model range by 2030 as per their latest Nissan Ambition 2030 plans.

Nissan Motor Co. Ltd unveiled their new long-term vision that will empower mobility and beyond. Through the Nissan Ambition 2030, the Japanese marquee will be expanding their global line-up with 23 new electrified models with 15 EVs, in particular, by 2030. They also aim to reduce the cost of battery production down to $75 per kWh by popularising all-solid-state batteries (ASSB). All the development will apply to both Nissan and its sub-brand INFINITI.  To accelerate this process Nissan has dedicated 2 trillion yen over the next five years.

Speaking on the occasion of the launch, Nissan CEO, Mr. Makoto Uchida stated, The role of companies to address societal needs is increasingly heightened. With Nissan Ambition 2030, we will drive the new age of electrification, advance technologies to reduce carbon footprint, and pursue new business opportunities. We want to transform Nissan to become a sustainable company that is truly needed by customers and society.

Electrification is the companys key focal point. Through ASSB, Nissan will also seek to establish a global battery supply system and an ecosystem where customers will be covered from all aspects.  As per their calculations, over the next five years Nissan aims to sell much as the numbers, mentioned below:

" Europe by more than 75% of sales

" Japan by more than 55% of sales

" China by more than 40% of sales

" The United States by 40% of EV sales in the fiscal year 2030

On the above sales figure, Nissan COO Ashwani Gupta clarified, We are proud of our long track record of innovation, and of our role in delivering the EV revolution. With our new ambition, we continue to take the lead in accelerating the natural shift to EVs by creating customer pull through an attractive proposition by driving excitement, enabling adoption, and creating a cleaner world.

To make matters more exciting, Nissan has also unveiled four new concept cars:

Nissan CHILL-OUT
Next Generation Crossover EV
Nissan Ambition 2030

This crossover EV will be built on the CMF-EV platform. It features a modern sleek design equipped with some of the advanced safety technology, with an equally spacious and comfortable interior space.

Going by the design of the CHILL-OUT, the convertible promises to deliver an exciting drive. It looks like a sporty car and Nissan has ensured that it will be more than just sporty. The steering response will be agile and accompanied by limited body roll, the ride and handling sound promising.

The Nissan Surf-Out is the ideal pick-up truck that will go against the likes of the Rivian R1T, Tesla Cybertruck, Ford F-150 Lightning, etc. The Surf-Up gets a large flat bad at the end, and the rear fascia is adorned by a wide-blacked out LED display which also integrates the taillights. The Surf-Out does appear to be a small-pickup truck, and its interesting lightning setup makes it all the way more attractive.

Through Nissan Ambition 2030, they will also stronghold and popularize their advanced driver assist system, ProPilot technology. Furthermore, they will also expand their autonomous vehicle technology. This ambition program will help Nissan establish itself as a sustainable business over the long term, for both employment and the environment.
