Pros and Cons of Suzuki Gixxer 250 - Should You Get It?

In this article will be examining the pros and cons of the Suzuki Gixxer 250 and will be telling you whether you should buy it or not.

So what exactly makes the Gixxer 250 so good? Here are a few pros of the quarter-litre bike.

1. Riding position - The Gixxer hands down has one of the best riding positions out there in the market. It does not only give a sporty feeling but also is very comfortable as well. The sorted ergonomics mean that all types of riding can be done easily on the bike. Be it just normal cruising or even some aggressive runs as well.

2. Engine - If the Duke 250's engine was termed as tractable, this one is even more tractable than the rest of the competition. A lot of torque is available at low revs itself which means that overtaking does not really require a downshift most of the times and that it is fairly easy to ride in the city as well.

3. Ride Quality - Engineers at Suzuki have managed to nail the balance between handling and the ride quality. Despite the fact that Suzuki claimed this bike to be stiffer than before, ride quality hasn't really been affected. The bike can easily go over bad roads with the rider remaining unperturbed.

4. Fuel Efficiency - Given the tractable nature of the engine, one does not really need to push it hard thereby keeping it in the most efficient power band. This, in turn, results in much better fuel economy as compared to the rest of the competition.

These were some of the pros of the Suzuki Gixxer 250. But as is the case with every product, even the Gixxer 250 has its own cons that one has to live with it. Here are the cons of the Gixxer 250.

1. Headlight throw - One of the biggest caveats of the Gixxer 250 is the headlight throw and intensity. For those looking to do long highway runs at night will have to either ride a bit more cautiously or will have to upgrade the headlamp bulbs of the bike.

2. Braking - A bike that is supposedly sporty gets bogged down due to its poor braking performance. The brakes lack bite and don't really provide enough feedback despite the fact that the bike is equipped with dual channel ABS
