- Sub-4 meter SUV, could look like baby Duster
- Renault Bridger Concept will debut on March 10, 2026
Renault has teased a new sub-4-meter SUV called the Bridger Concept, a rugged-looking SUV featuring a tailgate-mounted spare wheel. It will debut on March 10 and will become the brand's second sub-4-meter SUV after the Kiger. For now, only the teaser has been released, but the visuals strongly suggest that this could be a serious off-road-focused machine.
This also indicates that it may rival lifestyle off-roaders such as the Mahindra Thar and Maruti Jimny. For more details, read below, and in the meantime, join our91Wheels Whatsapp Channel to never miss the latest automotive updates.

The key takeaway from the teaser is its boxy shape and tailgate-mounted spare wheel, while the overall silhouette hints at a design similar to a mini Duster. This gives the SUV several strong elements that could help it make an impact in the segment. Moreover, the name Bridger is derived from the word bridge, symbolising its ability to connect two points while also highlighting strength and capability. The "ER" suffix further gives the name a distinct and strong identity.

Talking about it being a sub-4-metre SUV, it will most likely share the 1.0-litre turbo engine that produces 100 PS and 160 Nm of torque, paired with both a 5-speed manual and a CVT gearbox. However, if it is intended to be a true off-roader, the engine could receive a power tweak, and Renault might even replace the CVT with a 6-speed torque converter automatic.
It will make its debut on March 10, and it remains to be seen when it will be ready for launch in India.

Verdict
The Renault Bridger Concept hints at a rugged sub-4-metre SUV with a strong lifestyle appeal. If Renault retains its boxy design and off-road character in the production version, it could stand out in the compact SUV segment and potentially challenge lifestyle off-roaders like the Mahindra Thar and Maruti Jimny. The debut on March 10 should reveal more about Renault's plans for India.
