Royal Enfield has launched the most anticipated motorcycle of the year the Himalayan 452 at Rs 2.69 lakh at its Moto Verse event in Goa. The new Himalayan boasts a lot of new changes to its chassis, engine, design and features. The Himalayan 450 is available in 5 colour options and 3 variants namely Base, Pass & Summit. Royal Enfield Himalayan Pricing

The new Himalayan is offered in five colors, priced between Rs 2.69 lakh and Rs 2.84 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom). The Base variant exclusively features the Kaza Brown color. The Pass variant, positioned in the middle of the range, provides options for Slate Himalayan Salt and Slate Poppy Blue. The top-tier Summit variant is available in the Hanle Black and Kamet White colors.

Royal Enfield Himalayan 452 - Design, Chassis & Fetaures

The new Himalayan features an upgraded steel twin-spar frame that is not only stronger and stiffer but also narrower between the legs, enhancing overall comfort. Up front, notable elements include a heightened front fender, upside-down (USD) front forks, round mirrors, LED headlights, and LED turn indicators. On the sides, key modifications comprise a redesigned fuel tank, updated front racks, a revamped seat, and a reworked rear fender, all integral to the motorcycle. The entire bike has undergone a redesign focused on improving its ergonomics and reducing its weight by 3 kilograms compared to the current Himalayan model.

In terms of features, the updated Himalayan includes a revamped round digital instrument panel with integrated Google Map. Safety improvements include dual-channel ABS with an Off-road mode that allows deactivation of the rear wheel ABS, along with a side-stand cut-off switch. The motorcycle is also equipped with Ride-by-wire technology featuring four riding modes.

On the hardware side, it features USD front forks and a mono-shock absorber at the rear. The motorcycle is equipped with dual-sport 21-inch front and 17-inch rear tires with spoke rims. The brand is also set to introduce tubeless spoke rims, currently in the testing phase. Braking responsibilities are handled by 320 mm front and 270 mm rear disc brakes, supported by dual-channel ABS. An intriguing aspect of the hardware is the adjustable rider seat.

Royal Enfield Himalayan Engine

The new Himalayan is equipped with the Sherpa 450 engine, a liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine with a displacement of 452cc. Generating 40 bhp of power and 40 Nm of peak torque, this motorcycle is paired with a 6-speed transmission that includes a slipper and assist clutch, ensuring seamless gear shifts.
