Royal Enfield closed out August 2026 on a high note. The homegrown motorcycle major sold 1,26,479 units during the month, up 11% over the same period last year. Notably, this figure covers both domestic sales and exports. Here's a closer look at the numbers, along with what else the brand has been up to.
Royal Enfield August 2026 Sales: Domestic And Export Breakdown
Talking about the period of April-August 2026, the picture looks stronger than ever for Royal Enfield. Domestic sales for the financial year so far have touched 5,20,695 units, against 4,07,909 units in the same period last year, translating to a healthy 28% growth. That's a notable jump, and it suggests the momentum built earlier in the year has carried through rather than fizzled out.
Exports, on the other hand, haven't kept pace. The brand shipped 54,443 units between April and August this year, down 9% from 59,666 units last year. This dip stands out against the otherwise strong showing on the domestic side, and it'll be worth watching whether international demand picks back up in the coming months.
Even so, when you put both numbers together, the overall picture remains positive. Total YTD sales, combining domestic and export volumes, stand at 5,75,138 units, up 23% over 4,67,575 units a year ago.

Royal Enfield August 2026: New Launches
On the product side, August was a busy month too. Royal Enfield rolled out the Classic 350 Gorkha Edition, finished in a distinct Gorkha Green and fitted with a bespoke insignia featuring crossed khukris, a nod to the brand's long-standing association with the Gorkha regiment. Alongside the bike, the company also introduced a matching Gorkha-themed apparel line.
The Continental GT 650 got some attention as well. It now comes with a black-painted instrument cowl, new LED trafficators, and a USB Type-C charging port. Additionally, the Rocker Red variant gains a blacked-out treatment on the engine, exhaust, and cast alloy wheels.
Royal Enfield Community Events In August
Beyond new metal, Royal Enfield kept its community calendar packed. HunterHood made its debut in Kochi this month, following successful runs in Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai, Shillong, and Lucknow. The event brought together music, art, fashion, and street sports under one roof.
Meanwhile, Mumbai played host to the biggest edition yet of GRRR Nights, built around the Guerrilla 450. The night featured customised motorcycles, live MMA bouts, and performances, capped off with a Guerrilla 450 showcase.
Separately, the brand also announced the sixth season of Art of Motorcycling, this time themed "Game Mode On" around retro gaming. Entries are open across 13 regions, split into adult and India-only kids categories, with registrations closing on 21 October.
End Note
With the festive season just around the corner, Royal Enfield looks well placed to carry this momentum forward. Between fresh launches, a packed events calendar, and steady growth on the international front, the brand shows no signs of slowing down. All eyes now turn to how these numbers hold up as the festive rush kicks in over the coming months.
