Royal Enfield is famous for its wide range of motorcycles. According to the latest reports, Royal Enfield is the big boss in the 250cc-750cc motorcycle segment, holding a massive 90% market share. Not too long ago, they introduced the all-new Bullet 350, and they are actively developing the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450. Moreover, there's a buzz in the air suggesting that they might also be venturing into the 650cc category. Dimensions of the Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 Revealed

Royal Enfield is gearing up to introduce a new contender in the 650cc segment with their upcoming Shotgun 650. Interestingly, there has been a bit of a stir in the motorcycle community as the homologation documents for this model have leaked. These documents have given us a sneak peek into the Shotgun 650's dimensions before its official launch.

Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650

According to the leaked documents, the Shotgun 650 measures 2,170 mm in length, and 820 mm in width, stands at a height of 1,105 mm, and boasts a wheelbase of 1,465 mm. In comparison, the Super Meteor, another offering from Royal Enfield, is slightly larger at 2,260 mm in length, 890 mm in width, 1,155 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 1,500 mm. The difference in wheelbase is likely attributed to the type of wheels used. Shotgun 650, designed primarily for urban streets, has opted for a more compact profile compared to the Super Meteor.

Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650

The leaked homologation documents also disclose the Shotgun 650's gross vehicle weight (GVW), pegging it at 428 kg. This suggests a kerb weight of approximately 248 kg. As for the seat height, Shotgun 650 is expected to hover around 800 mm, similar to its 650cc counterparts. Despite its smaller dimensions, it's worth noting that Shotgun 650 might end up being heavier than the Super Meteor. This contrast indicates that, despite its compact size, Shotgun 650 is poised to offer a unique riding experience that prioritizes agility and manoeuvrability over sheer size and weight.

Shotgun 650: Launch Date, Features And Powertrain

The anticipated release of the Shotgun 650 is set for later this year, with a potential starting price of approximately Rs 3.25 lakh. The new Shotgun 650 motorcycle will come with a digital display showing information like speed, fuel level, gear position, time, warning lights, and more. It will also have a wide handlebar, a round headlight, mirrors, shiny chrome details, a curvy fuel tank, and a horizontal exhaust pipe.

When it comes to the Shotgun 650's specs and performance, it's likely to share many similarities with the Super Meteor and 650 twins. Powering this beauty is a 648cc parallel-twin, air-oil cooled engine, delivering a peppy 47 PS of maximum power and a robust 52.3 Nm of peak torque. This engine pairs up with a smooth 6-speed constant mesh gearbox. As is customary with Royal Enfield, you can expect a variety of vibrant colour options for the Shotgun 650.

Super Meteor features a steel tubular spine frame, 43 mm upside-down forks, and dual rear shocks with 101 mm rear suspension travel. The upcoming Shotgun will have extended rear suspension travel, a 320 mm front disc, a 300 mm rear disc, and standard dual-channel ABS.
