Skoda Slavia May Hit Showrooms By Mid-February

The Skoda Slavia is another vehicle that enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating. Skoda India's Director of Sales and Marketing recently revealed it may reach showrooms by mid-February.

Skoda, a Czech automaker, unveiled its upcoming sedan, Slavia, in India in November 2021. Last week, Skoda's plant in Chakan, Chennai, began mass production of the new Slavia. The upcoming Skoda Slavia will compete with vehicles such as the Honda City and Hyundai Verna, and many automotive aficionados are eager to get their hands on this Skoda. Skoda India's Director of Sales and Marketing, Zac Hollis, recently responded to a social media user by revealing that the new Slavia will arrive at dealers in a few weeks.

Skoda Slavia Engine Specifications

When it comes to the specifications of the forthcoming Slavia, it will use the same powertrain as its Kushaq sibling. It will come with two turbocharged petrol engines from the TSI series. The smaller 1.0-litre 3-cylinder engine produces 115 horsepower and 175 Nm of peak torque, while the larger 1.5-litre engine produces 150 horsepower and 250 Nm of peak torque. Both engines are paired to a 6-speed manual transmission, with the 1-0-litre engine having a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox and the 1.5-litre engine has a 7-speed DSG. In addition, the car will use cylinder deactivation technology, which will increase mileage.

Skoda Slavia Exterior

Due to its familiar front fascia with signature Skoda grille, it might be referred as a smaller version of the Octavia in terms of appearance. Plenty of chrome and a muscular stance can be found on the vehicles. Sleek LED headlamps with L-shaped DRLs and a C-shaped split LED tail lamp are also included on the Skoda Slavia's exterior. The 16-inch machine-cut alloy wheels on premium variants will be the icing on the cake.

Interior

The Skoda Slavia's cabin includes a dual-tone black-beige theme to make it classy and elegant. The dashboard is tastefully crafted, with piano-black trim and faux wood embellishment. It comes with a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other features include ventilated front seats, 6-Airbags, hill-hold assist, TPMS, ABS, EBD, auto-dimming IRVM, rearview camera monitoring, cruise control, rain and light sensors in the top-spec variant.
