Rivian Motors is preserving the natural world and is ready to produce electric vehicles for a sustainable future. The company announced the entry of this electric pickup truck, R1T in the mid of 2021.
It is the first electric truck that is available in the American markets that looks quite aggressive and is built on a strong platform to fight all sorts of terrains. The truck is manufactured with the latest technology and advanced features. It is inherited with off-road capabilities that offer peak performance whenever needed. The R1T starts at $67500.
The overall design language of the truck looks quite cool and futuristic with modern design elements like thick bar headlamps stretched from one end to the other with two oval-shaped lights as well that look like DRLs. On the front bumper, there are two hooks, a silver-coloured scuff plate, and a mesh-designed grille. To give the truck a better approach angle, the nose of the truck is closer to the front tyres.
The truck from the side looks decent with black coloured wheel arches and side skid plates whereas the door handles are merged with the colour of the body. Just like the headlamps, the taillights also look alike. To give the pickup truck a good departure angle as well, the company has slanted the rear skid plate a bit.
The R1T is a capable pickup truck that can run 314 miles (505 kms) on a single charge. The range of an electric vehicle always depends on the way you are driving and in which conditions.
It is powered by a quad motor that comprises dual-motor drive units that are installed at the front and rear axle. The front one churns out 415HP of maximum power and 560 Nm of peak torque whereas the rear one can churn out 420HP of maximum power and 671 Nm of peak torque. It also supports 200kW DC fast-chargers.

R1T comes equipped with independent air suspensions that permit six inches of vertical adjustment. The truck can be said to be a true heavy-duty electric commercial vehicle. Rivian has made its pickup truck a purpose-built truck that is equipped to handle any sort of adventure.
The company has installed several storage spaces between the bed, front trunk, rear storage bin, under-seat compartments, centre console and gear tunnel. There are almost 62 cubic feet of storage capacity in the truck. The bed of the truck is corrosion resistant and there is a spare wheel also available under the bed.
Rivian has introduced a very interesting concept of Camp Kitchen in its R1T that allows you to cook whatever and whenever you want. The set-up has two-burner induction, a collapsible sink, a spray faucet, a four-gallon water tank, and a pump as well. This concept is quite futuristic and the kitchen has all the cooking essentials like a 3-piece nonstick cook set, water kettle, prep tools, dishes, coffee grinder, flatware and four insulated mugs.
Glancing at the interior of the truck, it offers two types of themes. The Adventure one gives the feel of solid furniture installed inside the cabin with a naturally grained ash wood design wrapped around the dashboard whereas the Explore one gives an athletic feel that comes with a matte-black feel. Rivian also offers a panoramic sunroof with its R1T.
