KEY HIGHLIGHTS
- Tubless spoke wheels priced at Rs. 71,751 for a pair
- Up for retrofitment on the Scrambler 400 X with some conditions
- Warranty not applicable when bought separately
Back in May, Triumph introduced the Scrambler 400 XC in India with a starting price tag of Rs. 2.94 lakh, which interestingly was the most expensive bike they've locally produced in the country. Positioned as a more off-road-focused sibling to the Scrambler 400 X, the XC stands out with features tailored for rugged terrain, most notably, its cross-spoke tubeless wheels. Now, Triumph has revealed the pricing for these wheels as a separate accessory, aimed at existing Scrambler 400 X owners who are looking to enhance their bike's off-road capabilities with this key upgrade. But, it comes at a cost, and that too, not cheap at all. Triumph Scrambler 400 XC Spoke Wheels Cost Rs. 72k For A Pair!

Triumph has revealed the pricing for the tubeless spoke wheels that come standard on the Scrambler 400 XC, now offered as an upgrade for Scrambler 400 X owners. Since these rims are imported, the cost is on the higher side, Rs. 34,876 for the front and Rs. 36,875 for the rear. Manufactured by the same OEMs that supply wheels for models like the Tiger 900 Rally Pro and Scrambler 1200 X, these rims bring premium build quality. However, it's important to note that these wheels are not homologated for the Scrambler 400 X in India, and installing them, even at an authorised service centre, will void the warranty. While Triumph provides warranty coverage for manufacturing defects on the rim itself, bent rims and spokes aren't covered.

The Scrambler 400 XC now joins a small group of Indian-made motorcycles that offer the rare combination of spoke wheels with tubeless tyre compatibility. Others in this niche category include the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, the Goan Classic 350, and the KTM 390 Adventure. Interestingly, Royal Enfield recently raised the price of its own tubeless spoke wheels to Rs. 40,655, showing a growing demand for this feature among enthusiasts who want off-road ability without sacrificing tubeless convenience.

Engine Options
Powering the Triumph Scrambler 400 XC is the same 398cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine found on the Scrambler 400 X and Speed 400. It produces 40PS at 8,000rpm and 37.5Nm of torque at 6,500rpm, and comes mated to a six-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch to aid smoother and safer downshifts, especially under aggressive riding.
