TVS Motor is gearing up to stir up the Indian adventure motorcycle segment with what could be its first real ADV offering in the market. The Apache RTX 300, expected to be officially launched by October 15th, aims to bridge the long-standing gap between sports touring and adventure, bringing fresh competition in the ever-competitive space. So, let's dive into the details, what we know so far. However, before moving ahead, make sure to join the 91Wheels WhatsApp community to never miss out on any automotive updates.

Design And Hardware

The TVS Apache RTX 300 leans more towards a semi-faired adventure tourer than a hardcore off-roader, blending rugged cues with street-friendly manners. The adventure styling comes through in practical touches such as a tall windscreen, a beak-like front cowl, knuckle guards, side guards that could double as luggage mounts, a bash plate, and a luggage-friendly rear rack. It is expected to feature  19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels wrapped in dual-sport tyres. Up front, the bike will likely sport gold-finished USD telescopic forks, while the rear gets a mono-shock, a common setup in this segment. Braking duties are expected to be handled by single discs at both ends with dual-channel ABS for safety.

Features

The TVS Apache RTX 300 is expected to borrow several smart features from existing Apache models. It could come with a fully digital TFT instrument cluster, Bluetooth connectivity with SmartXonnect app support, turn-by-turn navigation, and music controls. Safety and rider aids are likely to include ABS, possible ride modes, and potentially traction control, although the latter remains unconfirmed.

Powertrain

The Apache RTX 300 is expected to be powered by TVS's new 300cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, which belts out 35 bhp and 29 Nm of torque. Meanwhile, it comes paired with a 6-speed gearbox.
