
TVS has launched BS6 compliant Jupiter in India and prices start from Rs 61,449 for the base variant, Rs 63,449 for the ZX variant and Rs 67,911 for the Classic variant. Despite the price hike of the BS6 variants, Jupiter is still cheaper than the Honda Activa BS6. All prices mentioned here are ex-showroom, Delhi.
As of now, TVS has launched three variants of the Jupiter BS6 and the feature-packed Grande variant is expected to launch at a later date. The Grande variant will bring features like Smart Xconnect app which provides vital information like call and navigation alerts, Geo-fencing, Anti-theft alarm live location tracking and many more useful features.

The Jupiter base variant is priced around Rs 2,500 less than the Active STD variant which is priced at Rs 63,912. The ZX variant comes at Rs 1,963 cheaper than the Activa DLX variant. The Classic and Grande variants have been priced above the Activa and offer more features.

The TVS Jupiter range has seen a price bump from Rs 6100 to Rs 8000 over BS4 range thanks to BS6 emission norms compliance. Jupiter now comes with Fuel injection, bigger fuel tank, LED headlight and taillight as standard. The Ecothrust technology also offers 15 % more mileage rated at 60 km/l.

Powering the TVS Jupiter BS6 is a 110 cc single-cylinder engine with fuel injection producing 7.4 ps and 8 Nm of torque. The carburettor variant used to produce 7.9 ps and 8.4 Nm of torque. The power figures have come down by 0.5 ps and torque has reduced by 0.4 Nm in the BS6 guise. The Jupiter series comes with the sole engine and competes with Honda Activa, Mahindra Gusto, Hero Pleasure and Hero Maestro.
