Upcoming Hero Xpulse 210 Spied in Ladakh - To Get Bigger Engine

KEY HIGHLIGHTS

  • Upcoming Hero Xpulse may feature a 210cc engine from the Karizma XMR, with unique design cues
  • The bigger Hero Xtreme boasts a muscular look, resembling the Harley Davidson X440
  • Both bikes offer modern features like digital instrument clusters with Bluetooth connectivity

Recently, two mysterious camouflaged motorcycles were seen, and they are quite interesting. The first one is an adventure bike, but it's not like the Hero Xpulse 400 we saw more than a year ago. It's likely to be called the Xpulse, though. The second one is a sporty street bike, and it might have the name Xtreme, based on Hero's naming tradition. Now, let's dive into more details about these hidden motorcycles and what they might mean.

Upcoming Hero Xpulse 210: What's Coming?

Hero Xpulse

It appears that these bikes may be equipped with the 210cc engine from Hero's new Karizma XMR model. However, when we examine spy shots closely, intriguing details emerge.

In the spy video, we observe a new adventure motorcycle that shares a striking resemblance in terms of body and components with the existing Xpulse 200 4V model. The key difference lies in the engine. Notably, the side covers, oil inspection window, and oil filter placement all differ from the Karizma. Furthermore, this new bike's disc brake is on the right side. The engine reveals a liquid-cooled design with two channels leading to its two overhead camshafts. Hero currently has only one liquid-cooled DOHC engine, found in the Karizma XMR. Comparing the engine sizes and radiators, it's likely that this new model will feature a larger engine.

Hero Xpulse and Xtreme

Considering the popularity of the Xpulse, Hero may be gearing up to introduce an upgraded version. This motorcycle retains several key features and components from the Xpulse 200 4V, such as the raised front beak, long-travel suspension, round LED headlamp with the 'H' logo and versatile knobby tires.

Bigger Hero Xtreme: What's in Store?

Shifting our focus to the Xtreme model, it's worth noting that it sports a similar compact exhaust design as the Karizma XMR. The test mule of the Xtreme showcases a low-slung headlamp and robust body panels. Interestingly, the crankcase of this naked roadster resembles that of the Harley Davidson X440's engine casing.

When we delve into the details, we observe upside-down front forks and a mono-shock at the rear, signifying enhanced performance. The upcoming Hero Xtreme boasts features like wide road-focused tires, stylish alloy wheels, a sculpted fuel tank with muscular tank shrouds, and a split seat design. While the headlamp assembly is concealed by camouflage, it's possible that a new LED headlight setup is in development. LED turn indicators are also part of the package. Considering the mix of these impressive features, the name for this motorcycle could potentially be Xtreme 210.

Both of these test motorcycles will come equipped with a modern digital display that offers Bluetooth connectivity features. Now, let's take a look at what sets these two bikes apart. The Streetfighter has an advanced upside-down fork and 17-inch wheels, while the Xpulse seems to have a larger 21-inch front wheel. These upcoming models are expected to hit the Indian market in 2024.

To put it in perspective, the current XPulse 200 4V competes closely with the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V in terms of pricing. In the 199.6cc category, Hero faces competition from other bikes like the Bajaj Pulsar 220F and Suzuki Gixxer SF. However, with its updated 4-valve air/oil-cooled engine, it will also go head-to-head with the Bajaj Pulsar RS200.

Verdict

While the specifics are still somewhat uncertain, it's evident that Hero is gearing up to introduce exciting new additions to its lineup. These upcoming Hero Xpulse 210 & the bigger Xtreme promise improved features and performance, which should appeal to motorcycle enthusiasts eagerly awaiting their release in the near future.  Also, you can join our 91Wheels Whatsapp Group for all such latest updates from the automotive industry.
