Volkswagen has updated the premium SUV segment in India with the launch of its Tiguan R Line. It is now the flagship product from the German automaker at a price tag of Rs 48.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Design
The all-new Tiguan R Line, built on the updated MQB Evo platform, it now offers a bold and curvy design. This new version boasts many cosmetic changes; the front fascia features sleek headlamps with a big Volkswagen logo sitting in the middle. These headlamps are connected by an LED light bar and a horizontal glass strip that flaunts an R badge to show its exclusivity. Below the headlamps, there's a mesh pattern on the bumper grille, air dams, and a chrome strip. On the side, it gets sharp curves, blacked out pillars, and chrome window beltline. Additionally, it boasts 19-inch dual-tone alloy wheels.
Meanwhile, the rear end comes with a large light bar with a smoky effect with an integrated roof spoiler. The rear bumper also gets a mesh pattern and a chrome strip similar to the front. Moreover, the Tiguan R Line comes with six colour options: Cipressino Green Metallic, Grenadilla Black Metallic, Nightshade Blue Metallic, Oryx White Mother of Pearl Effect, Oyster Silver Metallic and Persimmon Red Metallic.

Stepping inside, the cabin features an all-black colour scheme with blue stitching. At the centre is a 15-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Moreover, the cabin boasts a 3-spoke steering wheel with an R badge at the bottom. Coming to the features, the Tiguan comes equipped with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, three-zone climate control, massage front seats, two wireless charging pads, and Level 2 ADAS.
