Upcoming Yamaha FZ-X Specifications Leaked - Launching Soon in India?

Adventure Tourers are becoming very popular in India. We now have a lot of budget ADVs in India starting from the Hero Xpulse 200, Royal Enfield Himalayan to the BMW G310 GS, KTM 250 and 390 Adventure, etc. Soon, one more ADV will be launched in India and it will be from the house of Yamaha. The specifications of the upcoming new Yamaha FZ-X adventure tourer has leaked on the internet hinting at its imminent launch in India.

Just a few months ago, the company trademarked the Yamaha FZ-X name in India. As we all know, most of the adventure motorcycles have 'X' in their name. So, we were quite sure that the Yamaha FZ-X will be a new adventure motorcycle from this Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer in India. Now, as time unfolds, we are getting to know more details about this upcoming ADV. Recently, the specifications of the Yamaha FZ-X has leaked on the internet.

The leaked specifications reveal that the upcoming Yamaha FZ-X will share its underpinnings and mechanicals with the Yamaha FZ-S. This means that the new FZ-X will be powered by a BS6 compliant 149cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine. This motor will churn out 12.4 PS of maximum power at 7250 RPM and 13.6 Nm of peak torque at 5500 RPM. The engine will come mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Also, the FZ-X will feature an identical wheelbase of 1330 mm just like the FZ V3 and the FZ-S V3.

However, while the FZ-S V3 measures 1990 mm x 780 mm x 1080 mm, the FZ-X will measure 2020 mm x 785 mm x 1115 mm. The upcoming Yamaha FZ-X might get some new features too. It is expected to be launched in India in June 2021 at around Rs. 1.15 lakhs, Ex-showroom Delhi.
