Yamaha MT 15 V2 Updated Model Details

As per the latest approval-type documents uploaded online, the new model of MT is around the corner. However, it will not get any major change. The most expected change will be the addition of OBD (Onboard Diagnosis) sensor equipment. This and revisions in the exhaust system will result in fewer real-world emissions. Hence, the naked sports bike will remain relevant as well as legal to be sold. Mind you, a lot of products including cars & bikes are going to be discontinued because of failing to stand by these strict norms.

Other than this, the bike is expected to remain the same. Its design and engine are also anticipated to remain the same. It means that the 155cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine will continue powering it. This R15-sourced engine makes a peak power of 18.1 bhp & 14.1 Nm of peak torque. This power is mated via a 6-speed gearbox that also comes with a slipper-assist clutch. Other features of the MT include LED lights, a projector headlamp, TFT digital display, & Bluetooth connectivity.

The MT 15 makes a lot of sense for users looking for a capable machine that is easy to ride inside the city. Meanwhile, with the addition of the new OBD, the new model will become ever more green-friendly. However, we suspect that its prices will take a minimal hike due to added sensors.
