Bajaj Platina 110 H-Gear is the only motorcycle in its class to get a 5-speed gearbox and also it gets the biggest engine displacement in its category. The commuter is powered by a BS6-compliant 115.45cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, DTS-i engine that churns out 8.6 PS of maximum power at 7000 RPM and 9.81 Nm of peak torque at 5000 RPM, mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
Bajaj likes to call it H-Gear because it has an additional 5th gear which is very useful to get good fuel economy while doing highway runs. The Platina 110 H-Gear now also gets electronic fuel-injection technology which aids in enhanced refinement and better performance compared to the previous model. The ARAI claimed fuel efficiency for Platina H-Gear is 84 kmpl but in real-world conditions too, it offers a great mileage of 65-70 kmpl and gets a 11-litre fuel tank.

Talking about other upgrades, the motorcycle doesn't get any sort of update except the inclusion of a BS6-compliant engine. The styling and feature list of the motorcycle remains unchanged and it gets a LED DRL on the front visor, attractive body-graphics, a blacked-out engine with black alloys, a long cushiony seat (longest in its class), a semi-digital semi-analogue instrument cluster with a gear position indicator, and more.
Bajaj Platina 110 H-Gear measures 2006mm in length, 713mm in width, 1100m in height and gets a wheelbase of 1255mm. It has a seat height of 804mm, a whopping ground clearance of 200mm and weighs just 122 kilograms. The suspension duties of the motorcycle are handled by telescopic forks at the front and dual nitrox gas-charged shock absorbers at the rear.
