And at that time, it got so popular that it achieved 5 lakh sales milestone within just eight months of its launch. Over the years, Bajaj Platina has got lots of updates and now it is sold with both 100cc as well as 110cc engine displacement in India. In June 2019, Bajaj surprised everyone by launching the Bajaj Platina 110 H-Gear with several segment-first features and that too with an affordable price-tag. The new Bajaj Platina 110 H-Gear is an entry-level 110cc commuter motorcycle from the house of Bajaj Auto. It gets a powerful BS6-compliant engine, several segment-first features, a comfortable ride quality with effortless riding stance and much more. This new Platina 110 H-Gear BS6 slots in above the entry-level 100cc commuters from the company and sits below the 125cc Pulsar motorcycles in Bajaj Auto's India line-up.
2020 Bajaj Platina 110 H-Gear BS6: Looks, Dimensions and Colour Options
The 2020 Bajaj Platina 110 H-Gear is a good-looking commuter. This new Platina 110 H-Gear looks much better than the older iterations of the Platina-branded motorcycles. Upfront, it gets a big headlamp cowl with chrome inserts and an LED DRL on the top. The side profile houses its unique five-spoke alloy wheels and the body panels also look pretty good, considering it is just a basic commuter. Further enhancing its appeal is the new dual-tone colour treatment on the body and attractive graphics. It also gets a premium-looking brown-coloured seat and chrome accents on the exhaust muffler.

Talking about dimensions, this new BS6 Platina 110 H-Gear measures 2006 mm in length, 713 mm in width and 1100 mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 1255 mm and the saddle height (seat-height) stands at 804 mm. The motorcycle is quite heavy (by segment standards) and it weighs around 122 kilograms. Also, worth mentioning is that Platina is very popular in the rural markets because of its tough and rough build quality and its massive ground clearance. The Platina 110 H-Gear gets a 200 mm ground clearance, which is the best in its class. This motorcycle is available in two colour variants: Blue with Black and Red (pink) with Black.

2020 Bajaj Platina 110 H-Gear BS6: Engine, Transmission and Mileage
The new 2020 Bajaj Platina 110 H-Gear is the second-most-powerful bike in its class. It is powered by a BS6-compliant 115.45cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, DTS-i engine. This motor churns out 8.6 PS of maximum power at 7000 RPM and 9.81 Nm of peak torque at 5000 RPM. It comes coupled to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Now comes the interesting part, the Platina 110 H-Gear is the only bike in its class to get a 5-speed gearbox which is very useful while cruising on highways and also in extracting maximum fuel-efficiency from the bike. The Platina 110 H-Gear BS6 also gets an electronic fuel-injection technology and offers a good mileage of around 60-65 kmpl in real-world conditions.

The new Platina 110 H-Gear runs on 17-inch tubeless tyres. Both the tyres are of the same size and measure 80/100-17 and also get alloy wheels. The suspension duties on the motorcycle are performed by telescopic front forks that get 135 mm of travel while at the rear it gets the best-in-class twin nitrox gas-charged shock-absorbers with 110 mm wheel travel. For braking duties, it gets a 240 mm disc brake at the front and a 130 mm drum unit at the rear. It also gets a combined braking system (CBS) as an additional safety aid. Talking about other features, it gets a semi-analogue semi-digital console with a gear-position indicator (first in segment), a class-leading five-speed gearbox and many more.

The new 2020 Bajaj Platina 110 H-Gear is available in only one variant and is priced at Rs. 62,899. All prices stick to Ex-showroom Delhi. At this price point, it rivals other BS6-compliant 110cc commuter motorcycles which include the Honda CD 110 Dream, Hero Splendor i-Smart, Hero Passion Pro, etc. Talking about the verdict, so if you want a commuter that gets the best-in-class 5-speed gearbox, a digital instrument cluster with gear-position indicator, one that offers comfortable ride quality, good mileage and is affordable too, then you should definitely consider buying the Bajaj Platina 110 H-Gear BS6.
