2020 Triumph Bonneville T100 and T120 Black Edition BS6 Launched in India

We Indians love retro motorcycles and the retro-cruisers have a huge fan-following in the country. In India, we don't have the retro-cruisers just in the affordable segment, there are a lot of premium evocative motorcycles too. Triumph Motorcycles has a lot of retro-cruisers in its India line-up and the company has just expanded its portfolio by launching two new motorcycles. Triumph has expanded its Bonneville family by launching the new 2020 Triumph Bonneville T100 and T120 Black Edition BS6 in India. These Black Edition motorcycles are based on the regular Bonneville' and are technically similar to their regular counterparts. However, these motorcycles come with blacked-out cosmetics to make them look more pleasing than before.

The 2020 Triumph Bonneville T100 and T120 Black Edition BS6 get an all-black theme with blacked-out parts like the engine, mirrors, wheels, indicators, headlight bezel and exhaust tailpipes. The Bonneville T100 gets a Matte Black or Jet Black finish on the body panels while the bigger Bonneville T120 gets a Jet Black or Matte Graphite finish for the parts. These Bonneville motorcycles in the new complete black attire do look very good. Globally, the Triumph Bonneville range has always been the highest-selling motorcycles from the company. In India too, it garners good sales numbers for the company and with this new Black Edition, it will lure even more potential buyers.
Talking about the powertrain, so as the name suggest the T100 is a comparatively lower displacement motorcycle while the T120 gets a slightly bigger engine. The new 2020 Triumph Bonneville T100 gets a BS6-compliant 900cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine that produces 55 PS of power at 5900 RPM and 80 Nm of torque at 3230 RPM. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The Bonneville T120, on the other hand, gets a BS6-compliant 1200cc liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine. This engine produces 80 PS of power at 6550 RPM and 105 Nm of peak torque at 3100 RPM. It comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.

Triumph Bonneville is a very popular retro motorcycle in its class and is quite feature-loaded too. The Bonneville T100 gets standard features like ride-by-wire technology, dual-channel ABS, switchable traction control, USB charging socket and a classic twin-pod instrument console. The standard features of the Bonneville T120 include a LED daytime running light, dual-channel ABS, ride-by-wire throttle technology, Road and Rain riding modes, traction control, heated grips, etc. These motorcycles are also equipped with an engine immobiliser and a torque-assist clutch (assist & slipper clutch).
The 2020 Triumph Bonneville T100 and T120 Black Edition BS6 models are priced the same as the regular model. The Bonneville T100 Black Edition is priced at Rs. 8.87 lakhs while the Bonneville T120 Black Edition is priced at Rs. 9.98 lakhs. All prices stick to Ex-showroom Delhi. The Triumph Bonneville range rivals the Kawasaki W800, Harley-Davidson Iron 883, etc. in the Indian market.
