The gearless scooters are the most sought-after means of mobility in the metro cities as they are very convenient to use even in bumper to bumper traffic conditions. TVS Ntorq 125 was launched in India at the 2018 Auto Expo. Upon launch, it was, and still today is the most technologically advanced scooter in the Indian market. The Ntorq 125 boasts of several segment-first features. Also, its youthful design language and punchy performance lure the young buyers. TVS also launched the more sporty Ntorq 125 Race Edition in 2019 and it is even sportier. The Ntorq 125 is TVS' flagship scooter in India that sits above the Scooty Pep Plus, Zest and Jupiter in the company's India line-up.

2020 TVS Ntorq 125 BS6: Looks, Dimensions and Colour Options

TVS Ntorq 125 is a very sporty scooter. The scooter has an inherent sporty character. It comes finished in dual-tone colour shades with sporty graphics which further enhance its appeal. Upfront, the Ntorq gets an edgy muscular apron with halogen headlamp. The Race Edition model gets an all-LED headlamp with signature T-shaped daytime running LED. The side profile is very sleek and it gets a big exhaust muffler with chrome accents. At the rear, it gets a split grabrail with signature T-shaped LED taillamp.

The Ntorq 125 measures 1861 mm in length, 710 mm in width and 1164 mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 1285 mm and the saddle height stands at 770 mm. Thus it is very comfortable for both short as well as tall riders. The scooter weighs around 118 kilograms and has a minimum ground clearance of 155 mm. It has a massive 22-litres of under-seat storage and the fuel tank capacity is 5.8-litres. The Ntorq 125 is available in seven colour variants. They are Metallic Red, Metallic Grey, Metallic Blue, Matte Yellow, Matte White, Matte Silver, Matte Red and Race Edition.

2020 TVS Ntorq 125 BS6: Engine, Transmission and Mileage

The TVS Ntorq 125 is powered by a BS6-compliant 124.8cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, three-valve engine. This motor churns out best-in-class power and torque figures. It develops 9.25 PS of power at 7000 RPM and 10.5 Nm of torque at 5500 RPM. It comes mated to a CVT gearbox. The Ntorq 125 also gets Race-Tuned Fuel-injection (RT-Fi) technology to offer superior performance and smooth acceleration. The Ntorq 125 BS6 delivers pretty decent mileage of around 42-47 kmpl in real-world riding conditions.

The TVS Ntorq 125 rides on 12-inch tubeless tyres. The front tyre measures 100/80-12 while the rear one measures 110/80-12. The suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks at the front while at the rear, it gets coil spring with hydraulic dampers. For braking duties, it gets a 130 mm drum unit at the rear while at the front, one can opt between a 220 mm disc and a 130 mm drum unit. It also gets TVS' Synchronised Braking Technology (SBT) as an additional safety aid. The Ntorq 125 gets an all-digital instrument cluster with TVS' Smart Xonnect System which displays a ton of information. It also gets Bluetooth connectivity and offers 60 connected-tech features.

2020 TVS Ntorq 125 BS6: Price, Rivals and Verdict

As mentioned before, the TVS Ntorq 125 BS6 is available in two variants: Front Drum and Front Disc. The Front Drum Brake variant is priced at Rs. 66,885, the Front Disc Brake variant is priced at Rs. 70,885 while the top of the line, Ntorq 125 Race Edition is priced at Rs. 73,365. All prices stick to Ex-showroom Delhi. Talking about the verdict, so if you want a 125cc gearless scooter with a funky design language, punchy performance, best in class features and that too at an affordable price, then you should definitely consider buying the new TVS Ntorq 125 BS6.
