Just a few days ago, TVS Motor Company teased the upcoming new Star City Plus on its official website and social media handles. Now, the bikemaker has today finally launched the new updated TVS Star City Plus in India. The launch price of the new updated 2021 TVS Star City Plus BS6 is Rs. 68,465, Ex-showroom Delhi. But, what's new in it? Let's find out.
So, the newly launched TVS Star City Plus BS6 gets a disc brake set-up at the front. It isn't a regular disc as it gets a roto petal disc which helps in better heat dissipation. At the rear, it gets a 130 mm drum brake while at the front, one can now choose between a 130 mm drum unit and a 240 mm disc unit. It also gets CBS or a combined braking system as an additional safety aid. The disc brake-equipped Star City Plus is available in only one Black Red dual-tone colour shade. The drum brake variants, however, are available in five colours - Black Blue, Black Red, Grey Black, Red Black and White Black.

Apart from the inclusion of the disc brake at the front, the new Star City Plus doesn't get anything new. For suspension duties, it continues to get telescopic forks at the front and dual spring-loaded shock absorbers at the rear. It gets a semi-analogue semi-digital instrument cluster too. The new Star City Plus is powered by a BS6 compliant 109.7cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. This motor churns out 8.19 PS of power at 7350 RPM and 8.7 Nm of peak torque at 4500 RPM. The engine comes mated to a four-speed gearbox and it gets TVS' Ecothrust Fuel Injection (ET-Fi) Technology too.
Finally, talking about the price, so the price of the new updated 2021 TVS Star City Plus BS6 is Rs. 68,465, Ex-showroom Delhi. However, it still gets the old drum brake variant too and that is priced at Rs. 65,865, Ex-showroom Delhi. What are your thoughts on the new TVS Star City Plus?
