KTM has unveiled the 2022 RC 390 on foreign shores, but the sports bike is yet to be launched in India. However, the Austrian bike manufacturer has already unveiled its power parts. Check them out.
Both the RC 200 and RC 390 have been significantly updated for 2022. But while the former has launched in India, the latter is still awaiting its official green light. However, Bajaj-owned KTM has already revealed the powerparts that will be available with the bigger RC 390. The list of options is not radically different from the ones available with the RC 200. Below here we have discussed them as followed:
Akrapovic SLIP-ON-LINE Exhaust Muffler
This exhaust muffler in carbon fiber finish helps give the motorcycle a deeper note. Especially when accelerating, the exhaust note out of the Akrapovic system properly compliments the performances of the RC 390.
Rear Sprocket
This special sprocket is lighter than the stock option. With lighter sprockets, the motorcycle becomes quicker with less unsprung mass, and quicker shifts translating to a quicker response to the rear wheel.
Sporty Clutch and Brake Lever
The clutch and brake lever available with the powerparts are again lighter, compared to the stock factory options. It really becomes useful in racing conditions.
Lever Protection
Lever protectors are mostly seen in racing bikes. The main purpose is to not clash with opponents' levers, and this purpose also transcends down well in tight traffic situations. Just like the updated levers, the lever covers also come pretty useful during track days, when racing though.
Orange Brake Cylinder and Foot Brake cylinder cover
These covers might not seem much, but their functionality includes keeping the temperature of the fluids at an optimum level.
Ignition Cover Protection
When racing or riding on gravels, small chips or stones might bounce off the front tire and hit the ignition box.
Factory Footpeg system
The factory footpeg system is smaller than the stock ones, which becomes extremely handy when cornering the motorcycle.
Fuel Tank Quick Lock
The fuel tank quick lock is something that trickled down from racing motorcycles. This special type of lock ensures quick and hassle-free fuelling. In the real world, it translates to lesser time at fuel stations.
