The much-anticipated Mahindra Scorpio N for 2022 has finally emerged from the covers. The existing Scorpio is a tough SUV that is loved by Indian SUV lovers, and the upcoming Scorpio generation looks even tougher. The new Scorpio-N will be jam-packed with technology and features in an attempt to attract more buyers and to place the SUV in the D-Segment. Let's take a look at how the new Scorpio differs from the previous generation in Mahindra Scorpio N vs Scorpio Classic comparison.

2022 Mahindra Scorpio N vs Scorpio Classic -

The Scorpio's current generation is equipped with a 2.2-litre mHawk turbocharged diesel engine that produces various outputs and is available in 2WD. The current generation's engine is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. While the Scorpio N's engine details have not been revealed, it is believed to have a petrol and diesel engine with the same power output as the Mahindra Thar. There will be a 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic transmissions available, as well as four-wheel drive and off-road driving modes on some variants.

Mahindra Scorpio Classic

The boxy design and upright stance of  the older model is attractive and has a boxy back shape. The new vehicle will have a more sophisticated style, with window lines, wheel arches, and a roof that resembles a premium mid-size SUV. Six vertical chrome struts with the new Mahindra logo in the centre will adorn the front grille. The headlamps will be LED units with C-shaped LED DRLs enclosing the fog lamp housing on the bumper below, the indicators will be sequential turn indicators integrated into the headlamp cluster. Moving to the side the alloy wheels will have a modern design.

While the Scorpio N's dimensions have yet to be revealed, it is likely to be larger and wider than the Scorpio Classic.

The upcoming Scorpio N will be loaded with features such as a dual-zone climate control, a sunroof, a large touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, power-folding ORVMs, LED projector headlights, C-shaped LED daytime running lights, cruise control, multi-function steering wheel, and other features will be available on the Scorpio N.

While the previous model included a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic climate control, dual front airbags, and other features. However, the present model lacks some features that are included in the upcoming model.

2022 Mahindra Scorpio N vs Scorpio Classic - Prices

The current-generation Scorpio costs between Rs 13.54 lakh and Rs 18.62 lakh (ex-shworoom). The new model will undoubtedly cost more than this. The top-end model of the 2022 Mahindra Scorpio N is expected to cost around Rs 20 lakh ex-showroom, Delhi.
