2023 KTM 390 Duke has been spied on once again during a night test run. The new model is likely to launch in the upcoming festive season.

KTM has been testing the new Duke 390 for a long time now. The upcoming 2023 KTM 390 Duke has already been spotted on tests globally. However, it has been spied on a night test run in India ahead of its official debut. The new Duke will possibly get a more refined engine & a relaxed riding posture. 2023 KTM 390 Duke - What's New?
As seen in the latest spy photos, the new Duke will get an all-new chassis & design. Its design has already been revealed in the previous global spy shots. It is going to be more sharp and aggressive than ever. The front design will get a beefier outlook with a new fuel tank and longer extensions attached to it. Meanwhile, the riding posture shall be revised towards more comfort-oriented riding. For this, KTM might reposition the footpegs on it.
Other updates will include the use of a new chassis. The trellis frame of it will be redesigned for more lightweight and more strength. Additionally, the position of the rear suspension will be offset this time. As seen on the test bike, the swingarm will also undergo some changes along with the new exhaust design. The test bike is also seen using the new alloy wheels that are identical to the ones seen on the latest RC 390.
However, the major update is probably going to be the engine. How so? Well, online rumours suggest that the new Duke will get a bigger engine. This time, it is going to get a 399cc single-cylinder engine that will enhance its performance even further. This engine will make peak power upwards of 45 bhp (expected). Additionally, it will also get new features like cornering ABS, riding modes, & a new TFT display. KTM will also offer connected features like Bluetooth and navigation as standard on the new bike.
Verdict
The new 390 Duke will debut globally in the coming months. However, it won't be anytime before the upcoming festive season that it gets launched in India. Once launched, it will not only bring a bigger engine but it'll also bring a bigger sticker price with it. We suspect that it'll be priced above Rs 3 lakh upon its launch. Its direct competition will be against BMW G 310 R.
