India's Safest 110cc Bike; Bajaj Platina 110 ABS Launched - Details

Just a few days ago, we brought to you a content piece that highlighted that Bajaj Auto will soon launch the new Platina 110 ABS in India. Now, today the company has finally launched that motorcycle. The price of the new 2021 Bajaj Platina 110 ABS BS6 starts at Rs. 65,926, Ex-showroom Delhi. The company recently also launched the new Bajaj Platina 100 ES BS6. Bajaj Auto claims that the new Platina 110 ABS BS6 is the safest 110cc bike currently on sale in the Indian market. And, on-paper, it's really safe as it is the only motorcycle in its segment to feature ABS or the anti-lock braking system. The new Platina 110 ABS gets a 240 mm disc brake at the front with a single-channel ABS as an additional safety aid. It still continues to get a front drum brake variant with CBS or combined braking system and the motorcycle gets a drum unit at the rear for stopping duties.

Apart from the major inclusion is the inclusion of ABS, the new Platina 110 ABS also gets some minor cosmetic changes. For instance, it gets new body graphics, new white-coloured alloy wheels, new turn indicators and also new knuckle guards, which make it look rough & tough. For suspension duties, the bike continues to get telescopic forks at the front and also twin nitrox gas-charged shock-absorbers at the rear. Talking about the heart of the matter, so the new Platina 110 ABS BS6 uses the same engine as before.

The motorcycle is powered by a BS6 compliant 115.45cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, DTS-i engine. This BS6 motor churns out 8.6 PS of maximum power at 7000 RPM and 9.81 Nm of peak torque at 5000 RPM. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The price of the new Bajaj Platina 110 ABS is Rs. 65,926, Ex-showroom Delhi, which makes it just Rs. 1625 dearer than the Platina 110 H-Gear.
