India's Cheapest Bike with Electric Start - Bajaj Platina 100 ES Launched; All Details

Bajaj Platina is one of the best-selling entry-level Bajaj motorcycles in the Indian market. The Bajaj Platina is sold in multiple variants and it gets two different BS6 compliant engine options. Just a few months ago, the company launched the new kick start variant of the Platina 100. And now, Bajaj Auto has today launched the updated Platina 100 with an electric start. The price of the new 2021 Bajaj Platina 100 ES BS6 is Rs. 53,920, Ex-showroom Delhi.

As already mentioned before, Platina is one of the best-selling entry-level commuter bikes in India. Over the years, Platina has become a brand in itself. It is very popular in the sub-urban and the rural parts of the country, all thanks to its high ground clearance and rough & tough nature. Now, the new updated Bajaj Platina gets an electric-start button. The ES version of the Platina 100 now gets some very useful goodies which include the LED DRL, long seat, spring-in-spring suspension, tubeless tyres, and more.

The looks of the motorcycle are also refreshed a bit and it gets a pair of new rear-view mirrors. The new Platina 100 ES is available in two colour shades. They are Cocktail Wine Red and Ebony Black with Silver decals. If we talk about the mechanicals, so nothing has changed as such. The Platina 100 ES continues to get telescopic forks at the front and spring-loaded dual-shock absorbers at the rear. The braking duties are performed by drum units at both the front as well as at the rear. It gets a combined braking system too.

The new Bajaj Platina 100 ES is powered by a BS6-compliant 102cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, fuel-injected, DTS-i engine. This BS6 motor churns out 7.9 PS of power at 7500 RPM and 8.34 Nm of torque at 5500 RPM and the engine comes mated to a four-speed manual gearbox. The price of the new 2021 Bajaj Platina 100 ES BS6 is Rs. 53,920, Ex-showroom Delhi.
