BGauss Electric Scooters Launched in India; Price Starts from Rs 52,499

The Electric Mobility Space of our country is developing rapidly and successfully. We now have a lot of electric vehicles in India, especially electric scooters. In the electric scooter category, we have a lot of manufacturers like Ather, Bajaj, TVS, Okinawa, Hero Electric, etc. Now, BGauss has also ventured into the electric scooter space of the country. The BGauss Electric Scooters have been launched in India with prices starting at Rs. 52,499. Here are some more details about it.

First of all, let me tell you that BGauss is an Indian electric two-wheeler manufacturer. BGauss is a subsidiary of RR Global, which is one of India's largest firm in the electrical industry. RR Global is present in India since the past 35 years and now the company has launched the BGauss brand to showcase the future of urban mobility. BGauss has launched two electric scooters in the Indian market: BGauss A2 and BGauss B8. Both the electric scooters are proffered in lead-acid as well as lithium-ion variants. The B8 model even gets a top of the line tech-loaded LI Tech variant.

Talking about the aesthetics, so the BGauss electric scooters look modern and fresh. The LED headlamps of the BGauss A2 are mounted down below on the body panel. It gets LED turn indicators, LED taillamps and a single-piece flat seat. The ergonomics of the scooter seems really good and it gets plenty of features too. The BGauss B8, on the other hand, gets handle-bar mounted LED headlamp, LED turn indicators and also a big LED taillamp. The electric scooter gets angular rear-view mirrors, a flat single-piece seat and although these scooters are made of plastic, they get a metallic lustre which looks really good.

Talking about the powertrain, the BGauss A2 gets a 22.3Ah lead-acid battery coupled with an IP67 certified 250W electric motor. It has a top speed of 25 kmph and the claimed riding range is 110 kilometres on a single charge. It can be fully juiced up from 0-100 per cent in around 7-8 hours.
It also gets a 1.29kW lithium-ion battery coupled with an IP67 certified 250W electric motor. It also has a top speed of 25 kmph but it can be fully charged from 0-100 per cent in just 2 hours and 15 minutes. The claimed riding range is 110 kilometres on a single charge.

The BGauss B8 also gets a 22.3Ah lead-acid battery but it is coupled with an IP67 certified 1900W electric motor. It has a top speed of 50 kmph but the claimed riding range is just 78 kilometres on a single charge. It can be fully charged from 0-100 per cent in around 7-8 hours.
It also gets a 1.45kW lithium-ion battery coupled with an IP67 certified 1900W electric motor. It also has a top speed of 75 kmph and the claimed riding range is just 78 kilometres on a single charge. It can be fully charged from 0-100 per cent in just 3 hours. The BGauss B8 li-ion Tech variant also gets the same hardware but the claimed riding range is just 70 kilometres on a single charge.

The BGauss Electric Scooters are very feature-loaded. Both the scooters get an IP 65 certified LED instrument cluster. The lithium-ion variant of the BGauss B8 gets Bluetooth connectivity, app-based features and more. Some features include keyless start, find your scooter, anti-theft alarm, anti-theft motor locking, reverse assist, regenerative braking and three different riding modes  Low, Mid and High. The BGauss B8 LI Tech variant even gets IoT features (Internet of Things), navigation assist, geo-fencing, full charge alerts, remote diagnostics and many more.

Talking about the price, so the BGauss A2 lead-acid variant is priced at Rs. 52,499 and the A2 lithium-ion variant is priced at Rs. 67,999. The BGauss B8 lead-acid battery model retails at Rs. 62,999, the B8 lithium-ion model is priced at Rs. 82,999 and the range-topping B8 LI Tech variant is priced at Rs. 88,999. All prices stick to Ex-showroom Bengaluru. The online bookings for the BGauss Electric Scooters have already commenced and the deliveries are expected to commence from August. Initially, these electric scooters will be sold only in Bengaluru, Pune, Navi Mumbai, Chennai and Hyderabad.
